Stayed here with a friend recently for a girls weekend away. We booked a package which included an upgraded room, two course dinner for two and breakfast. We were really happy we paid the bit extra to get this package ($450 for a Saturday night) considering the lovely room we got, the beautiful two course dinner and the wonderful buffet... More

Our stay was stunning. Our room was modern and with two double beds a good rest was guaranteed. The view of the rolling mist over the hills adding to the feel. We started with a drink in the bar and then had dinner in the restaurant which was toothsome and our steak was cooked perfectly. Would definitely stay again and... More

Mid week we dined in room adjacent to bar. Dim lighting, table candles added to a pleasant atmosphere. The food nicely presented and flavoursome. Wait staff friendly. Pre-dinner drinks very expensive.

Have stayed here a few times already but just returned from a night stay again. It is so quiet, calming and relaxing. The rooms are huge as are the beds and the bathrooms. This would have to be one of my favourite hotels to stay in. The rooms are clean and the breakfast yummy. I would like to have a... More

I stayed here after attending a wedding nearby. I had another wedding in Mudgee to attend the day after which I had to leave and start traveling by 6:00am. When I mentioned this to the young lady at the front desk she mentioned that breakfast didn't start until 7:00am so she arranged for a take away breakfast to be ready... More

Not only do you save money when you stay mid-week, the experience is more tranquil. We had the hotel pool to ourselves in the afternoon, and saw only a few people at dinner in Harvey's restaurant. Dinner was delicious, the hot breakfast was somewhat less impressive. Service was terrific, the staff were always friendly, the room was spacious, comfortable and... More

Go for the pretty location in the beautiful Southern Highlands and enjoy the golf course and extensive walking trails, large rooms and showers that are big enough to house an extra bed, but be aware that you are also going to experience - long, wide gloomy corridors designed to be just that way for some hard to fathom reason, guest... I only stayed here one night prior to moving to the area. They were fantastic. The rooms are hotel rooms...clean, smart, semi luxurious - much the same as any good hotel. It is the staff and the location that makes this hotel special. The bar, Harveys Bar, is fun. I regularly go there now I am local to have a... More

I chose Gibraltar Hotel for a surprise anniversary getaway, and was quite happy with our stay. The staff were extremely efficient and helpful from booking, to checkout. Our couples massage at the day spa was great, and we enjoyed the pool facilities. The bar and restaurant is modern, but has an old-school 'cool' style... made for late night drinks and... More

We stayed for two nights at part of the summer haus package, finishing off our weekend with a massage and lunch. The Gibraltar has everything on site that you need for a relaxing weekend away - the food at both the breakfast buffet and the bar/restaurant was very good, the room was spacious and clean with quality modern fittings (and...
