Stayed here over a ;ate July Sun,Mon,Tues and played 18 holes of golf in a chilly, windy 2 degrees but with special friends was so enjoyable. Dinner @ Harveys restaurant was pleasant, position of the restaurant should be on the east side of the building overlooking the golf course but following night enjoyed same menu ( no table service) in... This is a good hotel for golfers and probably well suited to work conferences. It's probably more a four star than a five. As mentioned in other reviews the décor and artwork is "different" and the rooms need more lighting, the restaurant and bar areas are very dark as well. I travelled with family and found the breakfast buffet to... More

My wife and I stayed here for the weekend, and I was generally happy overall. Very relaxing and gorgeous views. The downsides: - the carpet in the room was disgusting; - the food at "high tea" was awful (I now call it low-tea between my wife and I) - 10am check out is too early - breakfast was cold both... We stayed on the winter package for two nights. Room was very spacious and comfy. Breakfast was amazing both mornings, a great variety of food! Dinner in both the bar and the restaurant were also good. The live music and the open fire in the bar, made for a relaxing evening. It's a little hard to find the entrance to... More

Probably the most discrete entry to a hotel I've ever come across; with confusing signage to make it even harder to find; the Gibraltar looks quite impressive from the car park after you find the tiny laneway to this 4.5 star hotel. Memorable object d'art and fine furniture feature in the reception area and hallways of this former country club.... More

Nice and peaceful, we were there on a luxury escape package, thought staff at check in were less than informative. Room nice and big also bathroom, the lighting is poor .difficult to read at night, there is a light in the tray with chips .peanuts ect that you may purchase. Staff in the bar restaurant areas were very good.

The Gibraltar hotel in Bowral is really great. We stayed on a winter warmer package. The room was really good. You could have s party in the bathroom its that spacious. The room was well appointed with 2 double beds that were really comfortable. The package was for 2 nights and included breakfast both days and high tea (great). A... More

We came for a 2 night mid week stay to celebrate my 50th birthday. This is a really lovely resort that sits right on the golf course and faces Mt Gibraltar. We took the upgrade to have a room with the view across the golf course and it was just beautiful. The pool is great but the gym is just... More

Nice and modern. Wide corridors make pulling your suitcase around very easy. Huge rooms and enormous bathrooms. Spotlessly clean. Nice location just 5 minutes drive into Bowral. Very quiet and secluded. Harvey's restaurant menu is very good and reasonably priced. Hotel also had a beautiful spa with lots of lovely treatment options. Only criticism is that the corridors ate pretty... More

Excellent location for golfers. Even if you don't play golf, this is a lovely place to stay. The rooms are spacious, decore modern, the staff friendly and helpful and the food was excellent. Excellent conference venue too. I would certainly stay here again, for leisure or business.
