We stayed focused ve days in early October 2014 and had a wonderful stay! The venue, the accommodation and amenities were just excellent! Add to that the just perfect attentiveness of the owners and we will for sure be back again! Ashrowan is a gorgeous property, beautifully decorated with lovely views. The lounge area has a lovely fireplace, plenty of art and travel books and is decorated with Phil and Susan's wonderful art. Just come home from a delightful weekend at Ashrowan B & B. Gardeners retreat was lovely. Access to own kitchen, warm & comfy sitting room, delightful bedroom with ensuite. Very hearty breakfasts didn't need lunch!!!! Susan & Philip organized casual dinner at Josh's cafe & fine dining at Eschalot. Both good. Totally wonderful weekend. Thoroughly enjoyed. Would recommend.

Stayed here for our first wedding anniversary celebrations in May 2014. We booked The Towner room by email corresponding with Susan, who was very efficient on email and was kind enough to offer us to make a dinner booking at Josh's Café or Eschalot for our anniversary dinner celebrations on Saturday night. We stayed at The Gatehouse for a two-day special getaway in the Southern Highlands and enjoyed it immensely. On hearing that we needed a celebratory dinner on one of the nights, Sue recommended and booked Josh's Cafe for us (a great choice). The bedding is luxurious, the breakfast hamper plentiful and the whole place is just magical.

This bed & breakfast is perfect. Loved the warm ambience with magazines, books, music, art (including still life in progress) and fireplace. We stayed in the gardener's retreat with our own lounge area, perfect for a cosy winter afternoon. Electric blankets, chocolates, and lit candles at breakfast - what else could you want? Highly recommend.

We have spent another enjoyable weekend as guests of Phillip & Susan. This is about our 4th or 5th stay which says it all, really. Quite location; homey, cosy atmosphere and a really, really good breakfast. Three bedrooms only gives you plenty of privacy but the communal lounge and roaring fire makes winters a treat.
