This park is a bush style park with many unpowered camp sites set among the bush. There are cabins to hire all with carports. There are powered sites for caravans, motor homes and 5th wheelers. Some have concrete slabs. There are 2 amenities blocks but are not close to most of the camp sites are in fair condition. the park... More

Thank you for this review, some very fair comments. There is a site map on the front page of our website where guests can actually look at the location of their powered site in relation to camp kitchen and amenities block. I recommend that guests booking (and indeed we like to ask) about whether you want slab or grass sites,... More

We pretty simply pleased people and as long as things are as advertised and clean then we have always been happy. In 18 years of travelling with my husband this is the worst standard of accommodation we have ever encountered! On arriving at our cabin, it was considerably more dated and less appealing than the photos that we had seen... More

I have apologised unreservedly to this guest. The fault was entirely ours, as seemed to have been put into a cabin that hadn't been serviced by one of our cleaners and was clearly not in a cleaned state. This was a terrible mistake. Had we been made aware of this during their stay I would naturally have had the cabin cleaned... More

Planning on coming again this Jan as we loved it last year! Fabulous that dogs are welcome and the kids are free to enjoy the beach and just riding their bikes around. Its great to be off the beaten track but easy enough to head into Ballina if needed. The staff were really friendly and made our stay enjoyable. Loved... More

Thank you Maria K for your warm review. Yes each school holidays we put on a lot of kids activities including our new Bush Ranger Club – where youngsters can learn bush craft (think ropes, tarps, tracking, safe fire making, putting up a tent etc, using a compass); archery; kayaking etc as well as craft based activities (kites, tie dyeing),... Very quiet, very spacious Dog-Friendly Caravan Park. We stayed there 2 days on our way back home. The caravan park is placed in Ballina South which means you are away from rush and yet very close to everything. To go to Ballina you can catch little ferry which is always a treat. You can also take a longer drive if... More

Dear guest, thank you for staying with us on your travels back to Melbourne. Thank you for understanding about the dog policy on the beach in front. Our holiday village existed well before all the changes to fishing, beaching and National Parks in NSW, and of course over the years as Governments have come and gone, we have had a... More

Very Pleased to find such a Dog-Friendly Caravan Park on our way back from Brisbane to Canberra. Pleasantly sited off the beaten track, we were surprised by the Park's excellent cafe, (where we ate Saturday night), as well as by the young man who entertained lucky patrons playing Flamenco Guitar! The staff were friendly and helpful. Everything was made on... More

Helloo Elizabeth, yes we aren't quite the normal caravan park. Our excellent chefs also cook for the many mind, body and spirit retreats that we have here (including our own yoga retreats). The lovely Lucy is our sourdough expert! She was very thrilled with the photo you sent through. Delighted you had a wonderful stay. We like being different and... More

We camped here on a cool weekend in July, but we'd booked a brazier (and marshmallows) so the cold made the experience memorable. There were quite a few camping, but it's a such a large area that you felt like you were nearly in the park all by yourself. The amenities were clean and well kept - 2 sets of... More

I made a huge mistake booking this accommodation , I stuffed up the booking process and arrived at 10pm at night to find my booking error. I rang the mobile number was answer quickly and told the night manager would sort it . Didn't take long for the manger to give us a bigger accommodation which at that time of... More

Hello Alison, don’t worry we have had booking dramas (including my husband – notorious for it) so it is totally okay. We will always help and sort it out wherever possible. I can’t begin to tell you how many people arrive on the wrong weekend, wrong month, wrong place. That’s life. Why spoil the day – let’s sort it and... More

As it was our first family camping trip we didn't know what to expect but we were surprised at the amount of stuff we didn't need to take with us. The grounds are well set out with all the amenities you'd need. Yes it was cold and yes we got sand in the tent but it's all part of the... More

Our first visit so didn't know what to expect. Needed a dog friendly place so thought this would be a good place to come. Booked a standard family cabin which stated a futon bed/couch. Open plan it was, but very small. We knew all the rules, the ferry crossing ($4.80 each way), buy in town before you get here, beach... More

Stay 7 pay 5, stay 4 pay 3. As you noted these are great deals and well worth it for people who want to stay longer. The standard family cabins have a master bedroomw with a double bed, a childrens bunk bed alcove with 3 single beds in a bunk arrangement and then a couch bed in the lounge, plus... More
