We organised a camping weekend at Ballina Lakeside and invited families and friends from a local Gold Coast School, some booked campsites and some booked cabins. The children of all ages had a blast, the park was fun, entertaining, clean and well organised! Not only did the kids enjoy, but the parents had a blast also! I would recommend this... More

We recently stayed 4 nights here in a Lakefront Villa with our two boys. Our villa was well set up with everything we needed and had a great outlook over the water. It was not new and a little worn in places but immaculately clean throughout. We all enjoyed ourselves and we found all the staff very friendly. There was... More

Staff unhelpful and poor attitude. Toilet in the cabin had been used and not completely flushed meaning some of the content remained and stove not operating first night. This would be my last resort holiday park when I next visit Ballina.

After reading some of the negative comments I have to wonder if these people stayed in the same caravan park as me as I have nothing but praise for the park and it's staff. On our trip home from Queensland (October 2013) we were searching for accommodation around the Byron Bay. Byron was extremely crowded and not the peaceful atmosphere... More

"Dear 67Ruthie Thanks so much for your positive words and thoughtful suggestions. We are so glad you enjoyed the waterfront cabins as we think they are pretty spectacular and the view would be hard to beat. We loved your photos too and feel they really capture the atmosphere of our location, which is ultimately peaceful and relaxing. We are looking... More

We have just stayed in a very clean, friendly, reasonably priced holiday park. From the moment we arrived at reception we were greeted with a smile and made to feel welcome. Reception then gave us the keys to 3 villas so we could choose the one we wanted. We have had a vast experience of tourist parks in our motorhome.... More

We had booked a Delux Cabin at a VERY DELUX price, upon entering the cabin we found the curtains coming of the track with curtain hooks missing, the curtain linings was full of holes. The furniture was very old and the upholstery very stained. Anything put down on the dining table stuck to it as if it was glued and... More

Dear Rosemary, We regret your experience. The vast majority of guests who stay in the Waterfront Bungalows report enjoying them very much. One of the best features is the generous size and the waterfront location. In this case we must agree there was dust on the outdoor furniture and to an extent the cane furniture inside the Bungalow was dated.... More

We recently spent a delightful weekend in our caravan at Ballina Lakeside Holiday Park. The service from staff was excellent, even allowing us to have a later check out at no charge. The park is positioned on calm Shaw's Bay and is close to the surf club and town. It has vast grassy sites. Ours was on the waterfront, where... More

We had never stayed in a caravanish park before, let alone with our two small dogs. The cabin we booked was perfect! Extremely clean & modern. Beautifully located. We could not have asked for better! Highly recommended! We WILL return. Well done!

First impressions - very unaccommodating - not welcoming ....just lots of rules. Accommodation, clean enough but have had luxury apartments at Gold Coast for less than what we paid for a cabin - then we had to pay for coin operated BBQs! TV couldn't get channels. Even if the price was cheaper, wouldn't go again as the facilites ... pool,... More

Hello Sally P, Thank you for your comments and the opportunity to respond. It is regretful that you found our rules overwhelming, we do find it necessary to have these in place to assist with safety and the comfort of all guests. Things such as coin operated bbq's have been well thought out, they take a coin to prevent children... More
