Thank you Klaus and Karen for a wonderful stay. We heard about the Lodge through family members and have been telling anyone who would listen that if they ever head to Manitoulin, this is the place to stay. we are visiting from Denmark and found this to be the perfect place the rest with a lovely view if the lake... We couldn't have been more pleased with Green Bay Lodge. The beautiful gardens, lovely views of Lake Manitou from both the lounge chairs and our private patio, the food, comfy bed, nightly bonfires with fellow guests...everything was just what we needed and wanted. We would go back in a heartbeat and probably will. Thanks Klaus and Karen for your hospitatlity.... More

The tranquility and serenity of green bay lodge was just what we needed. Karen and Klaus were perfect hosts, helpful, thoughtful and friendly. The lodge grounds are beautiful and we had a great time splashing in the lake, having bbqs and toasting marshmallows over the fire. As 4 dog owners Jessie was a poignant yet welcome reminder of our own... More

We were looking for a B&B at the last minute and found the previous reviews on trip advisor to be very positive so we booked a room. The only room left was a beautiful studio type room with full kitchen, dining area and living room with high ceilings and a lovely balconey overlooking the lake. The proprietors, Karen and Klaus... We arrived at Green Bay Lodge on a dark and rainy evening in October. Imagine our suprise the next morning when we discovered the beautiful location, with the sun rising over the lake and the early morning mist drifting across. Combine this with friendly hosts and a very good cooked breakfast and you have a winning combination. The famous "Cup... More

We have now stayed at the 'chalet room' at the Lodge 2 years in a row, and can't speak highly enough about this hidden gem on Manitoulin Island, and the wonderful hosts. The property is secluded, yet central to almost everywhere on the island, and only 5 minutes from the 'Cup and Saucer' trail, the # 1 hiking trail on... More

Thank you Klaus and Karen for a wonderful stay. We heard about the Lodge through family members and have been telling anyone who would listen that if they ever head to Manitoulin, this is the place to stay! Directions were very easy to follow...until we missed the "motorcycle/bicycle" route in to the Lodge - but was a funny experience to... More

We have been five summers in a row. We love the quiet, the beauty, the food and the company. Karen and Klaus feel like family now, as does Jessie their loyal companion. We love everything about Manitoulin Island.

Klaus and Karen are the ideal hosts and provide a very peacefull and tranquil setting for the perfect short stay getaway. Green Bay Lodge is in an excellant location to provide many Manitoulin Island exploration possibilities wuth the "The Cup and Saucer" hill walk near by. Their amiable pet dog "Jessie" seems like part of any guest's family. Photographs on... More

This place is fantastic! The setting is tranquil and beautiful. The owners are very friendly and informative, and you have everything you need for your own "mini-cottage" experience. It is the perfect alternative to renting a cottage. We almost hesitated to write this review as Manitoulin is still realtively unpopular as an Ontario destination and we would love to see... More
