We stayed out of season (Feb) in a terrace room in tthe west wing. Everything was luxurious and comfortable. Staff were attentive and helpful. We had a transfer by hotel car from Newquay airport which was comfortable and efficient. The food was amazing. If we had stayed longer than four days we wouldn't have managed to keep up with the... My Wife and I recently popped into the Quaterdeck Restaurant at the Nare Hotel for Lunch. We had parked the car in Veryan and walked to Nare Head and then followed the cliff path to its exit just a few yards from the Hotel. This to us was quite a hike and it seemed sensible to break our walk with a spot... In general this hotel lives up to its billing. It lets itself down badly by not taking the vegetarian offers on the menu seriously. For non vegetarians the food is excellent but for vegetarians it seems to be an afterthought with no veggie options on the main menu in the restaurant and separate veggie menu at best poor. In this... More

Wonderful Location. Beautiful views. Peaceful. Lots of lovely food. It was a lovely spring break for us. Walks on the beach and on the coast path were great. Swimming in the small indoor pool helped prepare for all the food.

The room was well prepared and the service of a very high standard. The food in the main restaurant was excellent ; less good in the Quarter Deck where it was cooked separately and was far from hot. Certainly this aspect of the hotel is not to be recommended.

We lived there from 7 to 10 April. Beautiful place, a giant beach, stunning bay outlook, very quiet, a menu for dogs, BUT terrible two restaurants for dinner. My daughter and I were poisoned scallops in Quarterdeck and 24 hours without leaving the room.

We walked in from Portscatho and came across The Nare by chance and what a lovely surprise. It's the perfect location for lunch on a lovely sunny day. The food and service were excellent and the view spectacular. I would highly recommend eating here.

We've stayed a number of times and although it feels like a little time warp perhaps we love it for that too. We've tried most of the cornwall dog friendly hotels and what draws us back is not just that it's so relaxing for us but it's the best hotel and beach for the dogs (who absolutely adore it) so... Even so early in the year, this family run hotel maintains its consistent levels of caring, thoughtful hospitality. If relaxation, comfort and peace are what you are seeking you will surely find them here.

The Nare Hotel was a wonderful experience for a break, from the beautiful setting to the comfortable bedrooms and public areas, pool and gym etc, and the food was superb. The staff were attentive and not obtrusive and always there to help and give advice about the area for excursions. This was my first trip to Cornwall and I could... More
