Have eaten here before and have been amazed by the views, food and service. Views of course stay the same, food still good, service may be what some people (new rich maybe) want, but aloof/servile is not our thing. It also has to be said that just about every part of the hotel is looking a little 'down at heal'... More

We booked this hotel for a 4 night stay in May. We booked it on the 1st April via Expedia. We booked a luxury sea view room. Expedia does not have the ability to specify special requests so at the same time as booking on Expedia we telephoned the hotel and spoke to Tracey to make sure that we were... More

We booked for lunch last Sunday 23 March 2014. From the minute you arrive to the minute you leave you are made to feel utterly spoilt by the wonderful staff, and, I hasten to add this refers to ALL the staff, fabulous! The roast lunch was exceptional, all 6 courses! Silver service, too! I have to say the roast beef... More

Four of us lunched here in March. We chose the Nare Hotel as it was exactly midway between us in the Lizard and our friends in Talland Bay. Booked a table at The Quarterdeck in advance as it sounded more 'casual' than the other restaurant there. Was delighted to find the Hotel and Restaurant much better than anticipated. The location... We have just had a weekend break at the Nare. It was akin to stepping into a bygone age of deferential service in a lovely country house setting. From the moment we entered the hotel our luggage was taken up to our room and our car 'tucked away' for us. Cream tea served in the drawing room is an elegant... More

My wife says "You get what you pay for"! I say yes, it's expensive but you get a real treat for your money, and the standard of care is consistently superb. I don't know whether it's to do with the initial selection of the staff, or their subsequent training and supervision, but we found it impossible to single out any... More

This is a fantastic hotel at any time of the year. It has everything - sea, indoor and outdoor pools, wonderful food, relaxing rooms and bedrooms and a wonderful view. It's particularly good for families and older people who would like a comfortable, high-grade hotel to relax in. There are lovely touches like the hot water bottle in your bed... More

Our break started as soon as we arrived with two doormen to take our car keys and get the luggage out and an offer to unpack our bags.Bliss. A cup of tea awaited us in the lounge with cake and scones and log fires real wood not imitation gas fires.Great evening meals with some music. It is so good to have... More

I am a little bit late posting this review so apologies for the delay! We visted the Nare for lunch on the Quarterdeck whilst visiting family who live only a few minutes away. What a delightful little gem of a hotel. I myself work in a 5* hotel in central London and the service and general vibe at the Nare... More
