15 years ago we were regular visitors but the demands of our teenage children let us elsewhere. Good to be back and better than we remembered. Cream teas to die for and wonderful walks with our dog on Carne beach and Kynance cove.

This hotel is in such a wonderful location. We have always had great weather when we stay. The hotel is just pure luxury. The food is delicious and all the staff cannot do enough to help. We were staying with a 7 month old baby who was made to feel very welcome. Cannot wait to be back again.

Four of us booked and went for Sunday lunch. From the moment of arrival to departure we were treated with unfailing friendliness and courtesy.Canapes and, later, coffee and petit fours were served in the comfortable and stylish lounge areas, and we were then escorted to a table with a fine view over the bay.Our starters and main courses were superb and we were then... Having been to the Nare on a few occasions for lunch, afternoon tea and for a facial when holidaying on the Caerhays Estate in Cornwall, it was a dream of mine to one day stay at the hotel. My lovely husband made that dream come true for my 58th birthday last month. Having booked the Spring Garden break, which was... More

Stopped here for a coffee and stayed on for lunch ... The staff couldn't have been more helpful as we were a party of three including an aged mum who couldn't really manage too many steps plus a friendly retriever. Nothing was too much trouble and one of the staff kindly showed us to the lift then brought us out... More

We stayed out of season (Feb) in a terrace room in tthe west wing. Everything was luxurious and comfortable. Staff were attentive and helpful. We had a transfer by hotel car from Newquay airport which was comfortable and efficient. The food was amazing. If we had stayed longer than four days we wouldn't have managed to keep up with the... My Wife and I recently popped into the Quaterdeck Restaurant at the Nare Hotel for Lunch. We had parked the car in Veryan and walked to Nare Head and then followed the cliff path to its exit just a few yards from the Hotel. This to us was quite a hike and it seemed sensible to break our walk with a spot... In general this hotel lives up to its billing. It lets itself down badly by not taking the vegetarian offers on the menu seriously. For non vegetarians the food is excellent but for vegetarians it seems to be an afterthought with no veggie options on the main menu in the restaurant and separate veggie menu at best poor. In this... More

Wonderful Location. Beautiful views. Peaceful. Lots of lovely food. It was a lovely spring break for us. Walks on the beach and on the coast path were great. Swimming in the small indoor pool helped prepare for all the food.

The room was well prepared and the service of a very high standard. The food in the main restaurant was excellent ; less good in the Quarter Deck where it was cooked separately and was far from hot. Certainly this aspect of the hotel is not to be recommended.
