After a wonderful trip around Cornwall we threw a dart in the map and thought Torpoint might be a sensible stop on the way home. If I had done my homework I would have found out that Torpoint is about as picturesque an incomplete oeuvre by a half pissed Picasso. Poor old Plymouth took a kicking during the war we... More

Stayed at Cambridge House in order to attend a wedding at nearby Polhawn Fort (about 15 minutes' drive away). It is very close to the Torpoint Ferry and also convenient for HMS Raleigh. The rooms are very clean and comfortable as is the whole of the establishment. There is also plenty of street parking right outside. One minor gripe -... More

Stayed here for just one night with the family due to a relatives birthday party. We were accomodated with all out needs and the only place I have stayed where the breakfast is cooked in front of you. The building was light , clean well presented and excellent value. The owners were very proud of what they had built up... More

What a great place to stay. Milton greeted me at the door, carried my bag up to a lovely exceptionally clean room, talked me through the facilities and arranged my time for breakfast. Breakfast was absolutely wonderful and cooked to order, delicious. Would recommend.

We stayed last week for 1 night. The reason for our stay - our son passing out from HMS Raleigh. Milton politely showed us to our room and gave great information regarding good pubs within walking distance. Breakfast was arranged for a time that suited us due to our early start. Room was small but perfectly serviceable and immaculately clean.... More

I have never stayed in bed and breakfast in my life and after my families stay at Cambridge house I will never stay in bed and breakfast again, I have never felt so unwelcome, and treated like second class citizens, the atmosphere was appalling we were greeted at breakfast with silence, when the television failed to work we were given... Oh dear, we are sorry these guests did not enjoy our B&B. These guests booked 2 rooms, used the bathroom in the smaller room, smoked!!! In the bathroom, then only slept in 1 room, using the day bed as a bed without a duvet, pillow, ( used cushions!!) no sheet, ( used day bed cover). Then in the morning after... More

We were very late arrivals , Milton had set a plan in place for us which worked with precision. Room spotlessly clean and with everything you could possible need. There is a great room for guests to use to meet , read etc. An excelent breakfast with quality products , home made bread and jams too. Nothing is too much... More

Have stayed at this lovely Hotel twice and haven't been disappointed. Milton, the owner who greeted us had a rather 'disinterested' look on his face and at first wondered if we had made a mistake. No we hadn't - Milton turned out to be most friendly and accomodating and his house is beautifully clean and comfortable. I'm sure you would... More

Hi and thank you for the review. I am sorry I may have seemed a bit grumpy on arrival, not wishing to moan, but I have had a very bad back for several weeks, and it was really playing up on the Friday afternoon, sorry!! Look forward to seeing you soon. P.S. Have now found the shower gel from your... More
