We had a great stay at Buttervilla last August.  I live in London so it can be really hard to relax and do nothing, but this was easy at Buttervilla as it's incredibly peaceful and relaxing.  We had amazing night’s sleep and were treated to a feast of a breakfast. This set us up well for a walk around the... more

My friend and I are seasoned travellers and have stayed in some of the best accommodations in the world,(independently of each other) , so we have a lot to make comparisons with. There really is a lot to be believed about in both the positive and negative reviews here. Overall, our experience was not bad.....just highly overpriced for what was... more

On a recent trip to the UK we spent an incredibly relaxing weekend at Buttervilla. The house is set in beautiful grounds in the Cornish countryside with a working organic farm which grows and supplies fruit and vegetables for local restaurants including Jamie Olivers Fifteen, (and for our breakfast!) It was very enjoyable to be able to take walks around... more

We stayed at buttervilla back in april for 4 nights, Im not one to complain but felt the need to let other holiday makers know how disappointing this bed & breakfast is firstly the rooms are small, dark, and not very well decorated the on-suite are just as bad with its lino floor looking like something out of a travel... more

These guests were not suited to Buttervilla, we are an organic B&B in a very old farmhouse on the most beautiful Port Eliot Estate. We serve award winning local produce for breakfast, which many guests rave about, as you can see from the testimonials on our website. I think it must say something when these guests choose not to come...

I stayed here with a Canadian friend and choose Buttervilla Farm as I believed paying £95 a night for a B & B in Cornwall would ensure that it was a good, unique experience which I wanted for my friend. We are both married women with families wanting a relaxing break away to 'catch up'. Having stayed in many hotels... more

These guests booked the family room, which has a double bed and a futon bed. We make a point of explaining that the futon is an addition to the room and that it’s not a twin room and it’s most suitable for a child. These guests complained about the rain running down the window, this was during a period of...

We had a lovely stay at Buttervilla and especially enjoyed the delicous local produce for breakfast, the home made granola was fantastic as was the freshly baked bread and yummy home made jam, great for filling us up before some walks in the local countryside. Our room at the front of the house had a great view over the grounds... more

We stayed at Buttervilla for three nights. Whilst the setting is idyllic we found our room overlooking the front of the house generally basic with the bathroom being tiny and not overly clean. We had expected an old farmhouse that had been modernised to some degree but could only describe our accommodation as average. We had previously read reviews which... more

We were very sorry that these guests did not appreciate the Buttervilla experience. We think they maybe missed the point. We are a Soil Association certified organic farm growing fruit for the best local restaurants and our own local community box scheme. We are eco-friendly, with solar heated showers and an environmental stewardship management scheme in place for our 15...

We have just spent a great week at Buttervilla Farm. This is the first time we have stayed on a Bed and Breakfast basis and the welcome was wonderful. The farm itself is situated in a small village approx 7 miles outside Looe, so having your own transport is essential. The accommodation is very good, good sized bedrooms, really hot... more
