Excellent premier inn on the doorstep of the eden project. Quiet, comfortable rooms and friendly staff complement the table table resteraunt serving the hotel. Tea & coffee facilities are in the room as well as an en suite bathroom.

Convenient place to stay. Was very happy with location, perfect if you are travelling by car, perhaps not so by train. The staff were great on check in and put two of us into sea view rooms. I was in a side room with a view of the sea but it was bigger and more spacious so was very happy... More

Lenny Henry must be a better actor than I thought. The beds are hard and you wake up stiff necked with aching back even using both pillows provided. Little sleep due to creaking floors as people walk in corridors and rooms, All inclusive breakfast is of Macdonald 'quality?' - Loads of bland, cheap, though nicely served food. Helpful staff, Clean... More

I was here on business so cant comment on the area etc as I caught the train from the north, went straight to hotel on business then home the next morning so didn't see the town. The hotel was as you would expect from premier inn, clean, spacious room and very helpful staff. Didn't have a hair dryer in the... More

This hotel was perfectly clean, lovely and comfortable, and very quiet. Very happy with the overall stay. However, if you aren't driving (if you're coming on public transport) it is not for the faint hearted: it is long 2 miles up a very steep lane from St Austell station. There are busses to Carclaze, but they aren't too regular, or... More

First time staying at St Austell, but the hotel looked like it had just been built. Everything was clean, plenty of parking, new TVs and Eden was 5 minutes away. The hotel doesn't appear to have a lift, but all rooms are only over two levels. Most people I saw were on the top floor, so I suspect reception put... More

Enjoyed a 3 night stay here. All staff very friendly and helpful, particularly Naomi and Kirsy on Reception. Clean, comfortable room serviced daily to a good standard. Took advantage of their meal deal and enjoyed a hearty breakfast each morning and a hot, tasty dinner from a good menu every night, Only downside was lack of heating in the room... More

Debbie the waitress recommended the mixed grill for dinner - epic - it will keep me going for days... I have stayed in many Premier Inns (both by choice with my family, and on business as prescribed by my company) this is one of the best. Great staff, nice rooms, and even a view of the sea from the dining... More

I've stayed at dozens of Premier Inns and this is the worst one that I've come across - from two perspectives. Firstly, the whole of the ground floor has squeaky floors (in the rooms and the corridors) and the walls are not soundproof - so you can hear conversations in adjoining rooms - and the self-closing doors really slam shut... It's not a luxury hotel but doesn't pretend to be. It's clean, warm and comfortable and the staff are very friendly. The negatives are the noise from rooms above if you are on the ground floor, and the Ack of a lift if you are not.
