Very pleased with all aspects of the hotel. The pub, the food and the staff are all good. In fact I would say the best pub food I have had in a long time. I would not hesitate to recommend the Rasheigh Arms.

lovely building inside and out, staff friendly and approachable, on a warm day which we had, they have a great patio and garden area in which the sit and eat. Dog friendly for those that need it. Best of all they sell the best ale in Cornwall, St Austell's HSB bitter. Food a little on the pricy side.

Impromptu evening out. Been before over the years. Initially good then went downhill. Thought we'd give it another go after revamp. Food dry, overcooked and cold. The staff were good and sorted it out. However food not edible. Wont be going back.

This was a trip to visit gardens in the area, and the "Rashleigh Arms" and Charlestown was a enjoyable place to come back to each evening. The staff were friendly and fonts of all knowledge about the area. The food was good value and the service was acceptable, what's the rush we were on holiday. The rooms were bright, well... More

We booked in as a foursome for a joint wedding anniversary night stay out after having an enjoyable lunch here some weeks before. I felt the room was somewhat overpriced PORT & STARBOARD, the cleanliness ie carpet was grubby in well trod places and furniture scuffed, shower tiles icky and felt a little tired and uncared for compared to hotels... We are so sorry that you didn't enjoy your experience at the Rashleigh and I am surprised that you chose not to mention any of this during your stay where in we would have been more than happy to upgrade you from your standard room or replaced any meals that you felt were not up to standard, but at no... First of all, if you search for accommodation in Charlestown this doesn't appear as it's listed under St. Austell. I think the owners are missing a trick here; it should be listed in both (if possible). Stayed here in April 2015 for a 4 night break just when we had a spell of good weather. The room (Crow's Nest) was... More

Lunch on Easter Saturday. Pub is light and airy, wood floors, outside patio with tables. My fish came on a huge square plate which felt dirty underneath the rim. The crispy large batter was greasy and tasteless and did not have a lot of fish inside, which was disappointing considering the size of the batter. The dish came with a... More

Business trip booked at short notice. Stayed in 'Sail' room. Excellent facilities. Only downside is the size of the bathroom for a premium room. Mattress good, Evening food good value and breakfast spot on. Liked the place so returning in May for a leisure trip

Our group of four enjoyed a three-night stay at The Rashleigh Arms in the picturesque little harbour of Charlestown, near St Austell in Cornwall. The Rashleigh Arms began its life as a village pub in 1851, is well run by the hard-working and aptly-named Rob and Lucy Brewer and recently underwent a major refurbishment. The result is a well-appointed bar... More

We arrive to be greeted by a friendly receptionist who upgraded our room The room was warm, bright and clean. The bed was comfortable and the room spacious and practical. The additional touches , like bathrobes were well appreciated. The town it's self is stunning, well worth the visit for a romantic getaway.
