Our stay was very welcoming and comfy. We booked the premier rooms, and were lucky enough to have a new bathroom in our room. Big shower funky mirrors. Service was attentive and food was very good. We had a meal on the first night which was very tasty and Richard our waiter was a real gent and witty. Breakfast was... More

An excellent hotel, check in first class and very helpful, felt really welcome. Room, a single, was very good. Staff helpful, St Austell beer but no HSD unfortunately. Centre of town and convenient for station and buses. Near Eden Project and Lost Garden of Heligan. Didn't use restaurant, but bar food good. Will certainly return in future.

We stayed here for five nights for a mini break. The hotel is a few minutes walk from the rail station and is right in the centre of town. St Austell is well placed to get to all parts of Cornwall which is why we chose to stay here. We hired a car to get out and about and the... More

The White Hart is very well located if you are exploring the area using public transport; the bus and rail station are a 5 minute walk away with frequent links to the Eden Project, Bodmin, the seaside villages of Mevagissey and Fowey, Charleston Harbour and the Lost Gardens of Heligan. Aesthetically the hotel is exactly what you would expect for... More

Was booked into this hotel by my office, what you need after driving around for 250 miles was a good nights sleep. Well once I had battled through the St Austell traffic and got parked up, check in was smooth thanks to the helpful young lady on the desk. I was directed to my room with a plush sounding name,... Having travelled ten hours by train I was ready just to crash and this hotel was just what I needed. The owners will hopefully know what gems they have in their staff but its worth mentioning Jack, who was superb in his customer relations, and Mikkel and Richard who were equally pleasant, professional and efficient. The food was amazing especially... More

My wife and I booked a three night stay at the White Hart, booking a standard double room on bed and breakfast basis. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprised to be given a room upgrade to the Duchy room, a double bed plus single bed room. The room was spacious and comfortable. We had planned to eat out in the... Our room was tiny, even though we booked an executive double. It was extremely noisy, the church bell sounded every 15 minutes but did cease at 11pm to start again at 7am! There is a night club within yards of the hotel which is extremely noisy and does not finish until 3am plus a number of pubs close by which... More

We spent a week here. Hotel is centrally located in St Austell and parking is available across the road. Staff for the most part were friendly and efficient - with the exception of the rather surly young lady who checked us in and couldn't be bothered to point us in the direction of our room or offer help with our... thank you of retaking the time time to post a review, as you are aware we are a town centre hotel and that unfortunately happens to mean some noise is to be expected at certain times of the day, even if that noise is from the church bells! We pride ourselves on our attention to detail and being only a... More
