We've stayed here twice in the last month. Staff are brilliant, the location is spot on for town. Any problems / questions are instantly sorted. various eateries nearby if you want a change from the 24 hour menu available.

I have avoided Travelodge for four years but they have upped their game and the St Austell Travelodge provided exactly what I want out of a basic motel. It is clean, comfortable, warm and cheap. There is a large car park outside which is free to use (remember to register your car in Reception). The room I stayed in was simple... More

My husband and I came to Cornwall for a family well and we know the St. Austell extremely well. I would recommend St. Austell Travelodge to anyone. It is a short walk to the Town Centre if you wish to eat or drink (or there is food and drink in the Travelodge, I cannot comment on the evening meals). Good... More

Stayed here whilst househunting. Family room was a decent size but extra bed was disappointing for our 16yr old, would suit younger child. Amenities in room acceptable, tea and coffee facilities ok with refills obtained from reception. Breakfast buffet offered decent choice but a bit pricey if you only want cereal. Bar/cafe very quiet in the evening. Offered acceptable menu... More

I travel on business staying in hotels 3-4 times a week. Bookings are made through a travel branch of my company and they send details through and make the booking specifying allowances etc. It's only ever a Travel Lodges where these details never make it to the reception desk. I always end up scrabbling through my phone or booting up... More

This is basic in the true sense of the word. Few staff available and some are really not helpful or bothered about customer satisfaction. I wish I could remember the name of the one man who was excellent and deserves a mention! 'Bar', for want of a better word (reception with warm beer) is pointless & expensive and they were... More

My partner and I booked a room at last minute, good price and it included a unlimited breakfast. We ate our dinner in the bar/restaurant and it was lovely, food was great and the service was fantastic, 'Ian' was his name and he did a great job making us feel comfortable and welcome. It's just a shame he wasn't working... More

Excellent value for money for my Christmas visit to visit family in Cornwall. St Austell Lodge was clean, comfortable and very welcoming. The price of £130.00 for three nights over Christmas was superb. Will definitely stay again

Average cleanliness and can be a problem parking, the site shares a car park with MacDonald's, KFC, Johnson Cleaners, Bathstore and Costa Coffee. It also faces B&Q. If you stay and are allocated rooms 208 to 209 and do not like being disturbed in the middle of the night please ask for a different room. These two rooms are directly... More
