Visited Carlyon Bay for a friends wedding just across the road (everyone else stayed in St Austell so our room became a bit of a base for a few days!) Hotel was fine, a little dated but cozy and comfortable. Food was pleasant on both evenings and breakfast. We were there just as they were de-branding from Best Western -... More

Stayed 3 nights with a friend and my small dog in an executive twin. The hotel was good, the rooms spacious, clean and comfortable, and the staff very friendly. The first time I have taken my dog with me on holiday and was not sure what to expect. I needn't have worried. The only place dogs were not allowed was... More

We stayed for one night after making an impromptu decision to drive halfway across the country. Arriving at 10.40pm we secured one of the last rooms. Chloe at the desk was really friendly and helped us try to find somewhere we could get some food as the restaurant had closed. The room was a little rough and ready but perfect... More

Having just returned from a 3 day break in St. Austell where we went to attend a friend's wedding we just have to advise people not to book into this hotel. The only positive we can give it are the views of the sea and the very helpful/friendly reception staff. The rest I am afraid we can only class as... More

Good location. Helpful staff. We walked from the hotel to Charleston Harbour for beautiful views. Good cafes and places to eat. Breakfast at the hotel was satisfactory with vegetarian options. Room was comfortable with TV, free WiFi and coffee/tea making facilities. It is a pity that the hotel will go out of business by the end of Sept.

Well what can I say, I like to give every one a chance but this hotel is ok for up to 3 night stay and then you would run out of meals to eat at night as the menu choice is limited, it would be ok for B&B and see the sights of that part of Cornwall. rooms where average... More

First the good points. Good view over the cliffs. Good free parking. Nice public areas with small bar. Now the bad points. Pool was closed. We were allocated room 7 on the second floor. No lift and no offer of help with the luggage. The hotel is out of town so we booked for dinner. Food was mediocre and top... More

We had a lovely welcome after a long drive and, due to our Best Western membership, we were upgraded. And what a room - Eden is a front corner room with a four-poster bed and a view out to sea! Good range of choices at breakfast, including made to order items, all in a relaxed and airy restaurant with friendly... More

We stayed one night here and although the room was rather dated, we found it of a good size and very comfortable. The staff were very attentive and helpful and couldn't do enough for us. We did find out that the building is due to be pulled down in 4 weeks so no doubt another hotel will be built in... More
