Stayed here at short notice on business overnight. Good comfortable room, with good parking facilities, and handy for St Austell Centre. Ray was very welcoming, breakfast very good. Would use this again if visiting either on business or leisure.

Stayed here midweek en route further south. Ray was very welcoming and friendly and because I was leaving early the next morning, even made me a packed breakfast. Agree with Stevie777 forget your Premier Inns or Travelodge and go for a stay somewhere with more of a personal feel to it.

Stayed here a couple weeks back, house was easy to find, plenty of parking, room was comfy, breakfast was good, but dining hall was very chilly, I am not normally one to worry about the cold, would stay again

Glad you enjoyed the stay, but sorry you were a trifle chill! I think I forgot to "boost" the dining room heat that morning with our very efficient electric heater when I got up that morning. I normally put it on when necessary to supplement the heating in the dining room. I You should have said: I'd have happily put... More

I stayed for a couple of nights at beginning of November. Ray is a very welcoming host, with lots of information about sight seeing and places of interest etc. The location is excellent, so near to the centre where all the shops are. There is a great little take away restaurant round the corner. I stayed in 'The Butler's Room'.... More

Great B+B clean tidy and a good location to walk into town. If you visit St.Austell this is a must stay for any traveller on business or pleasure. I was on business and needed a stop over before continuing my journey to Bodmin and Plymouth . Forget Travellodge etc. Great Breakfast and a great host.

I'm not clear if the "Little Gem" refers to me, the property, or both! But which/ whatever, many thanks for your comments; we're pleased you enjoyed your stay. More

Me and my other half came to st austell without booking anywhere..luckily sedgemoor heights was still avaliable for a last minute booking and was cheaper than the tacky travelodges we were looking at. We had a nice stay in a clean tidy room the nusery room I believe and the breakfast was pretty tasty and enjoyed the homemade bread.

Ray was a friendly and accommodating host. Sedgemoor Heights is ideally situated, being within walking distance to St. Austell town centre and 15-20 minute drives to both the Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan (the last being a `must` in our opinion. Mevagissey is a lovely Cornish fishing village and again, easy to reach from Sedgemoor Heights. An... More

Ray is a fantastic host. We had a great time at his B&B. Rooms and facilities were very clean and we were made very welcome. We arrived really late that night, still he waited for us . The B&B is only 20 min drive to The Eden Project, which is very convenient.

I was in Cornwall on Business in February and stayed with Ray for 5 nights. Had a great stay, lovely room, great welcome and Fab breakfasts. It was a stressful trip and it was great to have somewhere comfortable, friendly and relaxing to one back to of an evening. Couldn't recommend more highly.
