We have just returned from a lovely few days in Cornwall. Our stay at The Gables was a very pleasant one all down to the lovely owners Barbara and Mike. From the minute we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The house was lovely and the garden was beautiful. A big plus was that the guest house had... More

I was looking for a late room for a business trip with just two days notice, somewhere to sleep after a long drive but not too expensive. I found the Gables Guest House on line and called them. They were very helpful and friendly and had the personal service a hotel does not have. They had a perfect single room... More

The owners were very welcoming and friendly. They easily coped when we requested to change rooms to one with a bath and did it with a smile on their face. The Guest House is very clean and comfortable, and breakfast was superb. Would highly recommend!!!

Just came back from a short break in Cornwall, celebrating our first wedding anniversary, and this was a fantastic place to stay. Great location - both easy to find and good distance to local attractions like The Eden Project and neighbouring beaches. Rooms were beautiful and spotlessly clean. We stayed in the Penwarne room and was very happy to see... More

We enjoyed our stay with Barbara and Mike, they were very good hosts. They gave us plenty of tips on where to eat out and places to visit, Mevagissey and Fowey being our favourites. Barbara is a very good cook, her full English breakfasts set us up for the day. On returning each evening our room had been cleaned and... More

I guess the two things you want when you stay B&B is good clean comfortable accommodation and a good breakfast. The Gables scores top marks on both. Handy location if you're thinking of visiting Eden Project and the Lost Gardens or just passing through. Barbara and Mike are two of the nicest folk you could wish to meet.

Came down to Cornwall totally stressed and left so relaxed. Barbara and Mike are natural hosts and nothing is too much trouble. Our room was contemporary and spotless with all the bits you need on a weekend away. Breakfast was well worth getting up for. The B&B is well situated to discover the cornish coastline and Barbara helped us find... More

The owners attention to details made this a superb experience for us. Warm, friendly welcome, really good choice for breakfast and excellent location, even when using public transport to visit attractions in the area. A lovely stay.

Yet another trip around the country without organising any B&B's as we like to get in the land rover and see where we end up... cornwall was the destination of area to see. After travelling for two days we needed another place to stay. Travelling back up the costal area by Newquay we were looking out for B&B's.... this has... More
