Stayed for seven enjoyable nights at The Elms in the Eden Suite. The location proved an excellent base for touring Cornwall (and Devon). Amongst other places, we visited Land's End, St Ives, Geevor, Pentewan, Perranporth, Newquay and, of course, The Eden Project. Also within an hour's train journey from Plymouth. St Austell itself has a reasonable number of options for... More

I am a Coach tour driver and recently stayed at The Elms. I found the rooms excellent - better than many hotels I have stayed in. Excellent, friendly hospitality. Lovely walks and scenery. I would definitely recommend.

We have just spent 3 wonderful days at the Elms , while visiting cornwall for a wedding. I can't recommend this place highly enough. Spotlessly clean, very friendly , and an excellent breakfast .We would certainly visit again. Thankyou to every for making our stay so brilliant.

We stayed three nights with Peter and Jayne and had a fabulous time!!! Our welcome was very personable when we arrived and our room was beautifully decorated!!! We chose the room with the four poster bed which was so comfortable!!! Our introduction to the full Cornish breakfast was delicious and we continue to include it at home to keep a... More

My boyfriend and I stayed at The Elms 8/8/14 and absolutely loved it. Pete and Jayne are the perfect hosts and will do anything to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The rooms are lovely and perfectly maintained, breakfast is served in a lovely bright conservatory, there's a cosy little communal room with TV and a small bar, there's... More

I was made to feel very welcome by the friendly hosts. My single room in the annexe was private and cosy, and the breakfast was well cooked and tasty. I visited the Lost Gardens of Heligan and The Eden Project which were close by. Highly recommended!

What a wonderful hotel. The service was so friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Peter made our stay as comfortable and memorable as possible with a great welcome. Lovely room and great breakfast. Perfect location for exploring the local area. Would definitely recommend and will be staying again.

Lovely atmosphere, well sited for getting around the area. Room and food were lovely - but icing on the cake was the welcome and advice from our hosts which enabled us to make the most of a brief trip - we managed Charlestown, the Eden Project (fabulous), Fowey, Padstow and the coast road - lovely.! Thank you both x

Thank you to Peter and Jane for our lovely (but all too short) stay at The Elms. The Elms is very well situated to explore the area including Lost Gardens of Heligan (my favourite!) and the Eden Project, both of which are a few minutes away. We spent an evening at Charlestown which is a beautiful now dis-used port transporting... More
