Stayed two nights 11th and 12th September. Lovely place to stay. Very clean everywhere and comfortable room. Mark and Fran...very nice. Food superb. A pleasure to sit on the sofa with their dog. I love animals so a big bonus for me. Loads of parking spaces. If I have to to pick on something it was the noisy toilet cistern.... More

An ideal place to stay from which to explore Cornwall. Suggest you go to The Waterwheel Inn s website to look at more reviews. Suggest also more than a one night stay to enjoy ALL the Waterwheel has to offer

Mark and Fran gave us a very warm welcome with their laid back but efficient booking in process. The recently refurbished room with an excellent view was spotlessly clean and everything worked as it should with those little extra's that make a room homely. The restaurant offered a selection of fresh and delicious food that was of a much higher... More

Thank you. Home from home is just what we aspire to with a garden that will get nicer and nicer. I am glad you enjoyed your steak; they are 28 day matured and chargrilled for tenderness and taste and I think they are hard to beat but the homemade chocolate brownie is a close contender! Hopefully you will be able... More

A first class B&B, the room was spotlessly clean, the garden beautiful (especially the tree ferns), the welcome warm and the food excellent. Remember to visit the Druid holy well at the bottom of the garden. Would highly recommend and hope to visit again.

We love three ferns although Mark seems to be under the impression that you can never have too many which I am not entirely sure about as they are always a bit of a worry in the winter. This year though they have been really spectacular with massive arching fronds and are looking particularly lovely lit up at night. We... More

The friendly proprietors Mark and Fran afforded us a warm welcome with their seemingly laid back but efficient booking in process. Simply a wonderful review too so many thanks for taking the trouble to write it. When you take on a project like this and have so many plans it is lovely that people appreciate them as they are even in their unfinished state. The good news is that the patio should be laid next month which will really be a... More

We couldn't have chosen a better B&B than the Waterwheel Inn to explore this beautiful region. The location is perfect, the restaurant is excellent, but most important is that Mark and Francesca really make you feel at home. Our stay in the Waterwheel Inn perfectly matched the ideal vacation we had in mind before travelling to Cornwall. The region has... More

It was such a pleasure having your family to stay and we are glad you enjoyed the week you spent with us. There is such a lot to see and do in Cornwall so I am sure you can easily fill another week when you return. I seem to remember you eating in the restaurant pretty much every night so... More

Just enjoyed a three night star at the Waterwheel Inn. From the minute we walked through the door we were made to feel extremely welcome by Francesca, Mark and especially Kernow. The food was tremendous and we recommend you have at least one evening meal here. Breakfast is excellent with plenty of choices. The Inn itself is a very welcoming... More

Kernow should be on the payroll; he does take his welcoming greet very seriously! The building is interesting, built in the 1780s and it has been a pleasure to restore and we look forward to continuing to make it even more beautiful. I'm so glad you loved the place as it makes all the fort worthwhile. We hope to welcome... More

This is a lovely inn with very comfortable rooms, a delightfully relaxing ambiance, superb food and warm, welcoming hosts. We stayed for four nights along with our dog and can give nothing but praise for the whole experience. The decor is relaxing, with an eye for detail, and the gardens are absolutely beautiful. Our room was well-designed with everything we... More

Thank you for such a lovely review. We really hope that our guests have a relaxing time while they are here and enjoy good food, comfortable surroundings and of course we absolutely love it when they love our garden which as you know is our own "Lost Garden" in the process of being found! The patio stones arrived today so... More

Chose the Waterwheel Inn because of its proximity to Eden Project. It is also very central to many other places. A very reasonably price for a three night stay. Our room was small but ample clean and comfortable, a great deal of thought had gone into guest's needs. Breakfast was great, taken in the conservatory and one of the best... More

We are lucky to be so close to The Eden Project and The Lost Gardens of Heligan which are both such fabulous days out and being fairly central, it doesn't take long to get to all the other beautiful places that Cornwall has to offer either. We will be working really hard so that when you do return we will... More
