We booked to stay in the Waterwheel Inn for one night. And at £60 for bed and breakfast it was really good value. The hosts Francesca and Mark were helpful and very welcoming, particularly Francesca who was a font of knowledge. There is a lovely bar area and a great restaurant. The food was really good, reasonably priced with generous... More

We really enjoyed another great Christmas Day Lunch at the Waterwheel. Having enjoyed last Christmas, we knew what to expect and were not disappointed. The meal was delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere was just wonderful in such a magical setting. Thank you to everyone at the Waterwheel for making it such a great experience - loved your... More

This was our first experience of eating out on Christmas Day and we were really impressed. The venue, staff, atmosphere and food were fantastic, with Kernow the dog being an added bonus. We would highly recommend. Thank you to you all.

We recently stayed at The Watermill for four nights. The owners are friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the area. The rooms are newly decorated and a costal theme runs through the B&B. Our room looked over the garden and everything you need is in the en-suite room, but some may feel it is a little small. However, you will not... More

Perfect location, great food and friendly owners. Room was clean, bar and dining area feel like a cosy pub. Breakfast was huge, kept us full. The shower was an adventure of sometimes hot sometimes cold but otherwise 5/5 BnB!

Brilliant weekend in St Austell made special by our stay at The Water wheel . Friendly and clean. Newly decorated. Cosy bar , stunning restaurant and conservatory over looking a lush garden where we had a delicious breakfast. Dog friendly but don't let this put you off if you don't have dogs.

It really doesn't get any better than what Mark and Francessca put before you. Absolutely everything about our stay was top drawer, particular mention to the oh so friendly Labrador (Kernow) and the adorable ginger Tom. Evening meal was superb and breakfasts ensure you go a full day without top up. Thank you both for such a wonderful stay. Pat... More
