We first visited the waterwheel back in 2012 for a weeks holiday and loved it, we have just gone back for 2 weeks for our honeymoon and have had the most fantastic time, mark and francesca are the most fantastic hosts, the rooms are well kept on a daily basis. The breakfasts are so filling you don't need anything for... More

I stayed at the waterwheel in with my mum for 2 nights in a 3 bedded room (double and single). I must say the beds are the comfiest beds I have slept on in a hotel/B&B!! Great for relaxing! The inn has a fantastic restaurant with fresh food available every night which is cooked to order... We never felt rushed... More

Only stayed here for the one night (sadly). I had to work at the Eden project (about 4 miles away)for an early evening event. The Waterwheel Inn is just on the outskirts of St Austell and on main road, although you would not know once inside. Very handy for travelling around Cornwall and seeing the sights. I checked in about... More

Not really a B&B, more of a country inn- we had a three night stay, location ideal for Eden Project etc. In house restruant superb, breakfast more suitable for the really big eaters but lots of options. Hosts could not be faulted. Room we had was comfortable , very well appointed but a little on the small size. Bathroon tiny.... More

We stayed at this lovely spot last week. Francesca and Mark are wonderful hosts and it must be the most dog friendly place we have ever found! There is also a dog friendly beach only a short drive away (Par Beach), and a walking trail accessible straight from the hotel. The food is superb - including a delicious seafood platter.(24hrs... Booked a night here because we wanted to visit the Eden Project. Turned out we had discovered a Gem. Attention to detail was great - even e-mailing before hand to check if we wanted a table for dinner. Thank goodness we booked, the food was wonderful and would really recommend eating here. Plumbing a bit noisy but its a wonderful old... More

Stayed two nights 11th and 12th September. Lovely place to stay. Very clean everywhere and comfortable room. Mark and Fran...very nice. Food superb. A pleasure to sit on the sofa with their dog. I love animals so a big bonus for me. Loads of parking spaces. If I have to to pick on something it was the noisy toilet cistern.... More

The Waterwheel Inn is such a lovely place to stay, our room was really nice and had everything you would need. The restaurant and lounge area has a nice atmosphere and feels really homely. The food was amazing, we had a dessert off of the Specials board and it really was the best dessert I have ever tasted! We ate... More

An ideal place to stay from which to explore Cornwall. Suggest you go to The Waterwheel Inn s website to look at more reviews. Suggest also more than a one night stay to enjoy ALL the Waterwheel has to offer
