Just spent two nights at Chapel Guest House in Carthew, Cornwall. We had a lovely stay after being warmly welcomed by Chris and Wendy who were lovely hosts. The rooms are really nice with a very nice hospitality tray and the breakfasts were really good.

Stayed here for two nights for our anniversary. Lovely stay. Owners are sweet and helpful, coming to meet us from the car and being on hand for anything we needed. Nice rooms, decent size, nicely decorated and comfortable bed. (maybe slightly warm but better than the opposite) Room and the rest of the guest house was perfectly clean and the... More

This was a two night break bought by our daughter as a gift. We decided to add this to our holiday in Cornwall as it was close to the Eden Project and also extended our holiday a little longer. We were really glad we did as the guest house was really warm and comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The proprietors... More

We were given a really nice birthday gift for a three night stay to visit our daughter who has just started university in Cornwall and decided to choose "The Chapel Guest House" for a break to visit as it read quite well. We decided before we arrived we decided to book an additional room for our daughter to stay for... More

We visited this guest house in late August 2015, as part of a gift package. When we arrived we were welcomed and taken to the room and offered tea, which was also brought to the room. The owners were friendly and welcoming. The room itself was brilliant. It was clean with plenty of information, tea and biscuits available. The bed... More

The Chapel Guest House exceeded our expectations in every single way. The room was spotless, the breakfast beautifully cooked and presented, the owners helpful in every way, including returning via post items I had left, before I had even posted the cheque to cover the cost. There was also an extensive assortment of reading material to whet the appetite of... More

We stayed at the Chapel Guest House for 2 nights at the beginning of September. Our overall experience of St Austell was good however our stay at the Chapel Guest House was interesting. The couple who run it had an interesting interpretation of customer service and no guests were allowed in the hotel between 11.00 and 16.00. Breakfast was served... More

Found this on groupon and what a find. It was spotless and very very welcoming , as were the hosts. I wouldn't hesitate to stay again or recommend it. The cup of tea and biscuits on arrival was very much needed after a five hour drive. Nothing would be too much trouble

Just spent the last weekend at the Chapel Guest House. Absolutely fabulous weekend in Cornwall topped off with the accommodation and welcome we received from Wendy and Chris. We arrived at dusk on Friday night to be welcomed warmly and taken to our room which was very spacious. We were immediately offered a cup of tea with biscuits, just what... More

Excellent place to stay, ideal for Lost Gardens of Heligan and the Eden Project. We stayed in a lovely comfy room, very clean, with a great variety of teas and coffee in the room. A nice touch of use of the fridge on the landing for fresh milk and keeping water cool. And then there is the breakfast, absolutely fantastic,... More
