Lynne was very welcoming, helpful and informative. Our room was spotless with all the amenities you would expect in a 4 star hotel so to have them in a B & B is outstanding. Lynne gave us tips of things to do on our afternoon/evening of arrival directing us to a local harbour. Our room (No 4) had a king... More

Just came back from a weekend trip to Cornwall with friends. Stayed at the Cooperage, and received great service. The owner Lyn was very friendly and welcoming. I was in the main double room with my sister; we had private bathroom which was along the corridor next to the other rooms. The rooms are nicely decorated, and our bathroom was... More

Excellent!! Welcomed by Lynn with a cup of Tea and piece of cake, then shown to our rooms where she explained how the TV worked etc., but there was also a booklet explaining that, hairdryer was there as promised in the description, and the bed was really comfortable and the room and en suite bathroom was really clean with everything you... We made our booking several months in advance over the phone and was very disappointed to call to confirm a few days before and find out the host where no longer honouring the booking, leaving us searching desperately for another place last minute. The host's reason was "I don't like children under 5". We were quite shocked at her bluntness,... More

There was no booking !!! We may have had an enquiry some months ago but if a young child was mentioned I would have declined. I like children under 5 (several between my husband and I) as stated on my website over 5's are welcome. Our rooms are not conducive to young children and most of our guests are middle... More

Absolutely nothing to complain about, we were made to feel welcome almost immediately with a complimentary cup of tea and some cake. Lynn was very friendly and welcoming and couldn't do any more to help. She clearly has a great attention to detail and the room was spotlessly clean and we'll equipped. Clean warm towels were provided. Loads of useful... More

Excellent B&B. Lyn was very welcoming and helpful .Ideal base for touring Central Cornwall. Great attention to detail. Superb breakfast. Comfy bed, nicely furnished. Nothing too much trouble. Will definitely be back. Suggest you visit Charlestown, Mevagissey. Easy access to Heligan and The Eden Project. Don't hesitate, just BOOK.😀

Stayed two nights over a weekend and it was excellent. On arrival Friday afternoon was greeted by Lynn and husband outside, shown the room and a short tour of the place. Then offered a pot of tea to relax and prepare before going for dinner. All you need, could think of needing was already in the room, just in case.... More

We spent two nights at The Cooperage. On our arrival, after a 200 mile journey, we received a very warm welcome and a most welcome cup of tea and Banana Cake, served in the conservatory. Our room was spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished. The King Size bed was suitable for starfishing. The facilities were as you would expect for a... More

Genuinely helpful owners, clean and well-maintained property, good breakfasts. (I fell ill the second day and they did what was needed to get me a doctor locally) But: on a main road (the road from St Austell to Newquay) and with parking up quite a difficult slope, and with a difficult turn getting out and turning right towards Newquay). Half... More

We are sorry that you were not well during your stay, I hope this is no reflection on my breakfasts. Having responded to your 7 emails before confirming the booking I am sure you would have seen that we are on the Newquay road and a mile out of town. However, as you say, the road is quiet at night... More
