Had a really nice short stay here in the summer. Location very nice, a short walk into the village. Room clean and reasonably priced given the time that we booked. Breakfast very good and the family team running were very friendly. Only slight downside was that we had a room at the back and could hear kitchen noise but on... More

I have had a few recommendations for this hotel and tried the place out this September. I was not disappointed. Friendly staff, good location, and fresh and tasty food. I found out that the hotel does not welcome children under the age of 8 (if I remember correctly) and so the other guests were not family orientated, so to speak. The proprietors... More

I had a very brief visit. Arrived about 11pm and left 7:30 next morning. A friendly greeting on arrival, very comfortable well appointed room. Plush towels that put those available at London alleged 5 star hotels to shame, good bed and easy to use shower. Offered an early breakfast or coffee on departure. Very happy to return. A nice base... More

just returned from a three night stay at this wonderful family run hotel. From the moment we walked through the door until we departed for home, we were welcomed with open arms and with genuine affection. The hotel itself is excellent, the room we had (room 2) was very comfortable and spacious with a well equipped ajoining ensuite bathroom with... More

We came here because it is very close to a Quirky eccentrically English event - The World bellyboarding championships at nearby Porth Chapel beach. A very friendly family run the business. They were extremely helpful and would try to accommodate everyone's needs. Ideally situated to climb St. Agnes Beacon and visit the old tin mine remains at Wheal Coates.

After a bad experience at a previous B&B I was welcomed with open arms and a cuppa. The family are nice, friendly and generous. The room was spacious, stylishly decorated and comfortable with a fantastic view of Chapel Porth. I was sad to leave this lovely hotel and I hope to go back one day.

We have stayed at the back room for 3 nights as was a last minutes booking. Room is good size, comfortable and very clean. Breakfast were great too. The best were the owners, they were so friendly and joyful people! Will stay again if going to Cornwall.

Another very comfortable stay with John, Lorenna, Paul, Jo and Andrew at the Beacon. Lovely views from room 5 which was spotlessly clean with a very comfortable bed. Enjoyed delicious breakfasts and dinners made with local produce. A good base for all the Cornish attractions. This family run hotel provides all the comforts with a personal touch. Will be back... We stayed here, in room 7, for one night in July 2015. We were greeted by John who was very friendly and welcoming. Our room was very comfortable and spotlessly clean. It overlooked the garden and had a beautiful view of the extended countryside. Breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked to order and the usual cereals and juices were there too.... More

We stayed for 3 nights. We had a spacious room and ensuite bathroom immaculately clean and comfortable, lovely views when it's not misty! The family run hotel is extremely friendly and welcoming! The breakfast was ok. It would be improved with the addition of fresh fruit, speciality bread and maybe some pastries. Good location. St Agnes and Trevonouse cove are... More
