Fantastic house, ideal for anyone travelling to attend a Raleigh pass out! Carol, the owner was a lovely host, made us feel very welcome and breakfast was tasty. Clean and tidy yet characterful and quaint!! Couldn't have asked for anything more! (Except better reception or wifi! Oops). Thank you for having us Carol!

This 300 year-old house, part of the Anthony Estate and surrounded by even older historic barns and outbuildings has been artistically and sympathetically restored. Carol Johnson current owner of the B and B business has filled it with charming and thoughtful little touches which will delight. Immaculately clean but with a wonderful homely feel it is calm and peaceful. Carol... More

My husband and I plus 2 friends have just had a 3 day stay in Sheviock Barton farmhouse B & B. We were welcomed by Carol, the proprietress and given all the relevant information re. The tea/coffee making table in the hall, the key for getting in, what we wanted for breakfast etc. My husband and I had stayed there... More

We were warmly greeted by owner whom immediately made us feel at home. There are bedrooms downstairs as well as up. We were situated upstairs in a lovely room with en suite bath/shower. Tea/ coffee facilities are found downstairs in hallway. Garden is a quiet sanctuary, nothing but birds. The entrance to property is a sharp turn opposite a red... More

Me and my mother in law stayed here in April as it was the closest to HMS Raleigh where my boyfriend was having his passing out parade. The B&B was difficult at 1st to find as it has a narrow lane off the main road. The best directions I can give is once you get to St.Marys church slow right... More

Only stayed one night but everything was lovely. The host was friendly and nothing was too much trouble. It was a little tricky to find (it was too dark to see the sign) but after a quick phone call we were soon there. The rooms were lovely and warm, we could help our selfs to tea / coffee at anytime,... More

I stayed at Sheviock Barton while attending a wedding a few miles away. Arriving on a rainy Friday evening, there was plenty of space and comfort to settle in and relax. Carol was the perfect host - great with advice and friendly but not intrusive. Breakfast on the Saturday set me up for the day at the wedding and Sunday's... More

I stayed here with my partner in June while we attended a wedding nearby. I don't think the pictures on the website do it justice--the setting was georgeous--lovely green rolling hills everywhere and the B and B itself was exactly what I would love! It was cosy and welcoming in a lovely old farmhouse while still modern at the same... More

Sheviock is a charming little B+B with wonderful hosts. My partner and I were made to feel totally at home by the hosts son and friend who did a wonderful job of looking after the place whilst she was away.
