Having taking an impromptu decision to grab a bite to eat on a dark stormy day on the weather torn sea front at Seafront we were greeted with a big cheerful welcome. The premises are delightfully clean and attractive the atmosphere warm and calm. The attention to detail in this hostelry is unsurpassed in my opinion. A new management and... More

Living in the area we thought we would see what the Smugglers under new management was like, having not had a very positive experience in the past. We were met by friendly staff especially Chris. A much fresher looking decor. we return today to try out the food, Sunday lunch was lovely and really good value .

We drove to this pub as we saw an advert on a map which looked lovely. When we arrived we thought we had come to pets at home as there were more free wandering dogs and cats roaming around than customers! We waited at an empty bar to be served by a very uninterested lady! We had every intention on... More

After a great day at the beach we loaded up and went for dinner at the Smugglers inn, family friendly and dogs allowed, great choice of drinks and ale, we had steak and the kids both had burgers and the portions were huge! In fact 1 burger would have been enough for both of them as it would have saved... More

Visited The Smugglers Inn this August 2015 and from the minute we walked in they seemed totally uninterested in serving us and not very friendly at all and we may as well have been invisible, only seemed interested in their regulars.

Took the dog for a walk at seaton beach and we saw the dog friendly sign and decided to stop for tea with the Mrs. Went in and didn't think much of the place itself but the team were friendly and then the food came out which was great. Going back soon

Really good portions & good value , good choices on menu & specials board , had fresh looe crab sandwich , which was delicious & very chunky , with homemade chips and salad , the mixed grill was massive , down side was loads of little fly which were very annoying while trying to eat & drink

We have visited the Smugglers Inn in Seaton on a few occasions and have always had a lovely meal. They are dog friendly and even the dog gets a treat. They do a lovely roast dinner on a Sunday too. Staff are very friendly and it is ideally situated for a nice dog walk on the beach afterwards.
