The setting would be enough to come back for but combine that with some of the best food that we have eaten and it is hard to find fault. Comfy but not luxurious rooms. Stunning views from gardens and nice walks down to beach or along the clifftop path. But the reason to come is the dinner. All delicious and... More

This was a return visit having stayed here June 2013 and while it was great last time, this time was even better!!!! The food, service, staff was all perfect and it felt like coming home. I am already thinking about when we came come again. The Michelin star is well deserved but its the attention to detail and the warmth... More

We stayed a couple of nights at this beautifully positioned hotel not far from St Mawes. We had done our research and decided it sounded perfect - we were right! It is small but perfectly formed as someone was heard saying. The staff are both friendly and efficient. The whole place works like clockwork from the moment you arrive and... More

This was our third visit to driftwood and as usual standards were sky high. Each course cooked and presented to perfection, and when you add in the "amuse bouche", the excellent wine list and the prompt and courteous service things just don't get much better than this!

Myself and friends came here recently for a meal. The food was fantastic, service was second to none – absolutely faultless! We really was treated like King and Queens! In particular the ARM Violine serving us for the evening was fantastic – she just made the whole experience even better, she was funny, always had a smile on her face,... More

My husband and I stayed at Driftwood for 5 nights and were very impressed. The location is very good for visiting places of interest and from the minute we arrived the service and attention to detail were amazing. The owners and the staff were all friendly, efficient and professional and remembered our likes/dislikes. There seemed no end to their willingness to... More

Stayed here for just one night with a friend, I had never been to South Cornwall before and it was just stunning. Amazing hotel, service, had dinner there and the food was superb. Nice cocktails also. Went for a swim the next morning and the beach was beautiful, lots of shells to collect and met a nice couple picnicking on... More

We stayed two nights in this hotel and it definitely has the 'wow' factor about it. The location shows Cornwall at its best and the food, well the food was faultless and the highlight of our stay. In fact I woke up looking forward to dinner times! The service in the restaurant however did not follow the high standard of... More

Chosen for a time to unwind after a lot of travelling. We enjoyed driving to the local sights and then having dinner back at the hotel was fantastic. The beach and walking areas along the coast are definitely to be enjoyed. There is a cottage half way down to the beach which also looks to be nice accommodation.

The hotel is in a stunning location with lovely views over the beautiful gardens and sea. The service was good and all staff were excellent. We ate in the hotel and the food was good but the dining area was very cramped with tables too close to each other, breakfast was excellent. We took a late booking and only room... More
