Went 2 years ago amazed to find it still open when searching for places in Cornwall. We found the food excellent but the rooms very over priced. They are in effect stacked up portacabins with fancy soap. You could hear every movement by the people in the portacabin above, I think they were married, but probably not to each other.... More

We stayed two nights in this hotel and it definitely has the 'wow' factor about it. The location shows Cornwall at its best and the food, well the food was faultless and the highlight of our stay. In fact I woke up looking forward to dinner times! The service in the restaurant however did not follow the high standard of... More

Chosen for a time to unwind after a lot of travelling. We enjoyed driving to the local sights and then having dinner back at the hotel was fantastic. The beach and walking areas along the coast are definitely to be enjoyed. There is a cottage half way down to the beach which also looks to be nice accommodation.

The hotel is in a stunning location with lovely views over the beautiful gardens and sea. The service was good and all staff were excellent. We ate in the hotel and the food was good but the dining area was very cramped with tables too close to each other, breakfast was excellent. We took a late booking and only room... More

Stayed for a few days with my family at the charming little beach hut just across the lawn of Driftwood Hotel. A perfect way of spending a few days with family or friends. The hut itself was rather simple but charming, although we where a bit bothered with the nasty small that came of and on, especially after using the... More

Thank you for taking the time to write a review and I'm delighted you enjoyed yourselves. Sorry about the smell, it was caused by leaves blocking the drain, nothing horrid thankfully, and is fine now. The Cabin is quirky, has a loyal following but we do appreciate some guests would rather be in the main building. We all look forward... More

I booked two nights as a surprise to celebrate my husband's Birthday. The restaurant was the first reason I looked it up and the views were the deal maker. When we got there the room was lovely, views from both windows and it felt like a hideaway. The surrounding gardens and beach views are so good to wake up to.... More

Booked this hotel for a surprise romantic getaway with the other half, the location is breath taking, the gardens are beautiful and the beach is secluded and peaceful. We stayed for 1 night in room 8, the room was clean with a very big bathroom. The staff were friendly and helpful. We had dinner here on the night and it... More

If you are looking for a place with an amazing waterfront location with wonderful coastline views, with easy access to much of the best Cornwall has to offer, then the Driftwood will be perfect. It is located about 10 minutes from trendy St. Mawes but without the congestion (and noise); access to some locations offers the option of a fun... More

My husband and I, together with our 11 year old grandaughter and her friend, stayed at the Driftwood two weeks ago. We had a wonderful holiday, the hotel is very comfortable and the owners and staff are very professional, welcoming and friendly, without being intrusive. The location is beautiful and the beach peaceful, whilst its rocks and pools are fun... More

We stayed at the Driftwood with our young daughter as part of our summer holiday. This hotel is in the most beautiful location and our bedroom suite, which had a small single room attached for our daughter, looked out over the sea. The interior design is tasteful and fits well with the coastal surroundings. The staff are helpful and well... More
