We stayed at the Cliffside for night of Sunday 4 September as part of a week walking the South West Coast Path - this was far and away the worst b&b of the week ! We were met by a guy who had next to no interest in us - just handed the key and told the times for breakfast.The... More

Walked into this run down B&B and was absolutely shocked at what we were seeing. Wallpaper was hanging off walls, woodwork rotten through and mould growing on walls and ceilings. The whole house smelt like a mixture of ashtray's and mould. Attemping to sleep at night was impossible due to the smell making you feel so sick. The children had bunk... More

The only clean thing in the place was the bedding - apart from being tired after a day's walking this was the only reason we stayed for one night and didn't leave straight away. In a word - grotty. Wallpaper parting from the walls due to damp, mould marks on the curtains, none of the carpest had seen a hoover... More

The owner is a friendly but disheveled chap who hardly helps to inspire confidence in cleanliness. The carpets are also stained though not necessarily unclean. The bed linen was crisp and clean and the bathroom was tatty but clean. so I think the trick here is not to take it on face value. It was fine for us as walkers... More

This hotel is very run down and not very clean. The owner was friendly and was trying his best but the place needs a major make over. The only positive about the room was the stunning view of the beach, the state of the bathroom and the carpet in the room is best not mentioned. It was cheap at £55... More

This little hotel was just great for our 3 days trip to Cornwall in seach of a house to move to Newquay. With my husband and six year old daugther I had a lovely time and the price for three of us including breakfast was just perfect (£ 55 a day). Just a step from the sea and Perranporth Beach.... More

First let me stay that Perranporth is a very dull resort town. The beach is amazing, so I can imagine it's ideal for families who want to spend a weekend in the sun on the beach in midsummer, when everywhere else is full. The hotel (which is really a B&B) sits on the edge of the cliff and our room... More

Dreadful decorating. No light on stairs. Musty smell in room. Filthy windows. Bathroom door did not fit and would not shut. Reception area smelt of stale grease. Although described as an hotel, this is a very low quality B&B. More
