I love this place. Pendeen is proper rugged cornwall. Some of the most amazing coastal scenery in the UK. If you like hussle and bustle and tourist parks go to Newquay. Camped here 5 years ago with brother-in-law when we toured Cornwall on motorcycles and went back again by myself last week on a solo surf tour. Camping is simple,... More

We stayed for 2 nights and found the room to be spacious but a little tired. The double bed was only a small double so we found it pretty cramped and quite hard. Tea & coffee making provided, a small old-style TV with non-functioning remote that had seen better days. Plumbing is noisy for relatively new rooms and light sleepers... More

We had dinner in this traditional inn on our way back from Land’s End to St. Ives. Nice and friendly atmosphere, witty owner, great beer, delicious food, reasonable prices. We had Indian chicken curry with rice and Naan bread. It was not too spicy and tasted really good. To recommend.

We stayed one night while walking the coast path. The rooms are in an annex that is in the back by the campground. We found it odd that the (hot water) heat is turned most of the time. This is supposedly because the boiler noise bothers some guests. However, at the time we were there very strong and cold winds... More

My family and I enjoyed a night at the North Inn. We chose a selection of curries from the menu and none disappointed. Coming from the UK's spiritual home of curries, the Midlands, I think we can speak with a reasonable degree of experience on this matter. The homemade desserts were also a winner and I particularly enjoyed the treacle... More

Was backpacking on the South Coast Path and made a detour to this place. Cheap camping with showers and toilets. There is even a small sheltered area to eat in. Had the sausage, mash and peas for evening meal which was lovely. Proper butchers sausages! and served quickly even though it was busy. The camping field is level and sheltered... More

Came here to eat in early June 2014 and quite frankly the food was poor. To start off with the only positive, one of our party did enjoy their curry, but apart from that it wasn't great. Other Curries were very watery with no sauce. You could pour the sauce onto your rice simply for it to disappear straight into... More

We were looking for a lunchtime meal and had had passed by a couple of pubs that looked like they were going to be of the scampi in a basket variety. This one looked better from the outside - inside, not so great. However, the menu is interesting with a good range of English and Indian dishes. I had the... More

Quiet cheap site at rear of pub well away from the road with great sunset, excellent real ale, hot showers and toilets. For only a fiver per person, tis a bargain. Some site still say they do breakfast but this is No longer the case, and we were recommended two local cafes a short walk away. Will be calling again.

We stayed for a couple of nights, and really enjoyed it. We were in one of the rooms built at the back of the pub, with its own decking verandah and a view across fields to the sea. The room is a good size, with a double and a single bed, and an ensuite with shower over the bath. We... More
