We have just returned from another Cornish 'get away', staying at our usual B&B, Polbrean House. We have been coming here for several years now and I don't think the novelty will ever wear off! We start to relax as soon as we reach the front door and receive a warm, Cornish welcome from Marion and Nick, not to mention... More

We stayed with Marion and Nick Ball this August for 5 nights. We had come to Cornwall without booking a B&B beforehand and were very happy when the nice guy at the tourist information center called at Polbrean House and found out that they had a room for us. We got there and felt at home immediately. Marion and Nick... More

The owners of Polbrean House couldn't have been friendlier. We had a lovely room with a four poster bed. As the house is high up the hillside of the village, there were great views over to the sea across the village. The price was just right too and the breakfast was beautifully cooked. If there was a down side at... More

Marion & Nick are really lovely and so welcoming that we felt like they were old friends we were visiting. The house is beautifully presented in a style that complements the Victorian architecture. We had a comfortable room and a lovely large bathroom; everything had been thought of - even comfy dressing gowns and fresh milk for tea in the... More

We recently spent two nights at this delightful B&B run so very well by Marion and Nick. Their beautifully decorated Victorian paradise is comfortable and welcoming. I was completely dazzled by how beautifully Marion had done up her home, and must have mentioned it to her more than a few times. The beauty of her house is matched perfectly by... More

A chance enquiry lead us to this treasure and from the first greeting at the door including the one from Tilly the dog we knew we would enjoy our stay. Superb warm and genuine hospitality from Marion and Nick. Our room and private bathroom were just the luxury we needed.Coming from a hospitality background in NZ I rated Polbrean House... More

What a delight, Marian and Nick welcomed us as family members and nothing was too much trouble. Spacious, quiet and comfortable rooms were spotlessly clean with period ambience and attention to detail. Breakfasts were first class; evening meals available within walking distance at the Royal Inn, the Eden Project and Heligan Gardens a short drive away. We enjoyed personal service... More

We spent 6 lovely nights at Polbrean House. The bedroom was lovely and the breakfast was excellent. The best B and B I have ever stayed at.
