Elmswood House is run by perfectionists. We were greeted at the door on arrival, shown to our room and then tea and biscuits in the lounge. Our room was excellent and absolutely spotlessly clean. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. Definitely recommend staying here.

Booked for a 3 night stop and were very pleased with the accommodation. The hosts are very friendly and helpful with any questions we had about the area. Lovely room, bedding top quality, good breakfast. Great location for walking along the south west coastal path, visiting the Eden Project, Looe and Mevagissy. They recommended the local pub, the New Inn,... More

We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights stay at Elmswood House. We got a very friendly reception when we arrived and we were delighted with our comfortable room. The breakfasts were good and filling and we certainly would recommend a stay here to anyone wanting to visit the area.

We stayed here for 4 nights in August in this excellent accommodation. We booked Elmswood House after viewing the Web site and seeing some of the reviews on Trip Advisor. It was well worth the £80 a night for two people and the breakfast supplied had plenty of choice and Graham is great at looking after his guests. We received... More

We couldn't have received a better welcome. Lovely hosts and great breakfasts. Mushrooms tasty, beautifully cooked and plentiful. Bacon the best we have ever tasted. Two roomy lounges with lots of information for planning days out. The location is quiet and not far from anywhere you want to visit:it is always a relief to return after a hard days holiday making.... More

We have just returned to Surrey after a 3 night stay at the Elmswood House. To be honest, if you haven't been recommended anywhere to stay, then looking for accommodation in an unfamiliar place is highly daunting. So, the search began. We wanted somewhere that was going to be central to the location we were exploring, so somewhere near Fowey... More

We stayed here for 4 nights and even if I tried really hard I could not find one fault this excellent accommodation. We booked Elmswood House after viewing the Web site and seeing some of the reviews on Trip Advisor. We do not usually book a guest house and tend to always choose hotels. We realise we might have been... More

We stayed for 3 nights in April/May in room #4. The room was bright, spacious and very clean although the furniture and decoration was dated and not to our taste but didn't show signs of wear and tear. We had a nice view of the church and valley which could be enjoyed from the 2 comfy chairs in our room.... More

This b and b deserves an extra star for having something you don't normally see these days - not only one guest lounge, but two! And they are both on the ground floor, with views of a charming garden and the hill beyond. This is so unusual and a real treat. The house itself is old, but very nicely brought... More

We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. We had the room facing the church, which gave a lovely view and did not hear the bells at all. The bed was huge and wonderfully comfortable! The breakfast was delicious and there was plenty of choice. Par beach is close by and worth a visit. The New Inn pub is a minutes... More
