We ate here for lunch on a lovely sunny day. We didn`t want anything too big so opted for the sandwiches. We wanted brown bread but was told that they had ran out and the same applied to the prawns. So we decided on the tuna which arrived with a side portion of salad and crisps. They were very nice... More

I regularly visit this little restaurant and have not had a bad meal yet. The fish is always very fresh and tasty, well it should be as it is landed right outside. Tucked up the far end of Mevagissey it has lovely views across the harbour. Lovely relaxed atmosphere and the staff are always willing to help with anything,

Me and husband visited this hotel in May with two NZ friends. We had eaten there the year before so was hoping to impress and did we! We had rooms 1 and 2 both with views across the harbour to die for. The sun shone and we had two wonderful days lazing about and drinking in the feel of the... More

Our second visit so we knew what to expect. Sea facing rooms right on the harbour. Wonderful atmosphere. Stairs steep for anyone with a walking difficulty. We left the car in the car park on accessing the village and carried just light luggage to the guesthouse for our one night stay rather than negotiate the narrow busy streets. Cooked breakfast... Always enjoy the food here, local produce. Staff a little abrupt and not overly friendly but wouldn't put us off too much! Reasonable price too. Little upset they let dogs in. I love animals but don't feel it's appropriate in a restaurant. Maybe they should have 2 sides to the restaurant? It would put is off if there were loads... More

My son and I stopped here for a Saturday might in May as part of our 120+ mile walk of the Cornish coastal path to raise funds for Macmillan nurses. On checking in we were taken a somewhat torturous route to our room which overlooked the busy harbour. Other than being told where and EXACTLY when breakfast would be served... More

Popped in while on a day trip to Mevagissey, we normally buy fish and chips from a takeaway and sit outside but it was really windy and we looked for a restaurant instead. Looked at a couple of restaurants on the harbour front but all quite expensive and then we came across The Wheelhouse, they had a deal on fish... More

Was initially thrilled to find this pub welcomed dogs inside because it was quite blowy out, the staff were friendly and the menu looked great. However the quality of the food was disappointing - beer battered fish was quite clearly from frozen because the fish was wet and the batter was not the crisp, crunchy dark batter that it should... We booked for 1 night and enjoyed it so much we extended for a second. We stayed in Room 2 and it was spacious and with stunning views of the harbour. The room cleanliness could not be faulted and the breakfast was amazing. On the first morning we had a full English and the 2nd cereal and toast; both were... More

Stayed for 2 nights in room 1. Fell in love with the charming little fishing village of Mevagissey straight away. The Wheelhouse added the cherry to the top with its location overlooking the picturesque harbour and fantastic views from the room, which you can enjoy from a lovely window seat. The room itself was very clean and nicely decorated with neutral...
