We dropped into the ship inn because we wanted a evening meal and this establishment was "dog friendly". We ordered 4 Sirlion steaks and 2 children's meals, we weren't disappointed. The Steaks were as we expected tender and cooked as requested. The children's meals were also enjoyed. The prices were very reasonable for such a well prepared meal. Drinks were... More

Lovely old pub, but sadly the coloured light bulbs ruins the mood a bit. Food was plenty and quite cheap, but not very good quality. Steak was tough, mushrooms tasted of rancid cooking oil. So sad, because it has all the potential to be a great pub in beautiful Mevagissey. The staff was really friendly thoughl

Friendly staff and good beer but incredibly noisy. Poorly fitting sash windows allowed all street noise in, disco thumping through the ceiling till very late, staff singing loudly as they cleared up. Two floors up it was still unbearably noisy.Go for the drinking, not the sleeping. It was a tourist week, so maybe its better in winter!

Had a guest beer (golden sunshine?) sitting in a lovely old pub with low ceiling strung with dainty fairy lights. It was early evening, too early to eat but the menu and specials looked appetising. If you want to eat you probably need to reserve a table as it looks like a pub that gets very busy in the evenings.

I popped in for pint; staff was friendly and served me a lovely pint. Finding a table was beyond easy, they were everywhere, not one bit of spare was wasted, wood was everywhere, pulling a chair out for a sit down pint, again require a little heavy lifting and moving of the other seat, as this table can and does... The hotel was great, very friendly and attentive. Parking in the tiny village of Mevagissey is a problem, especially in the tourist season, but the hotel can provide convenient discounted (reasonable) nearby parking. The rooms were clean and well equipped with modern en-suite facilities and the evening meal and breakfast were perfectly prepared and presented. Lots going on each evening... More

It's a cosy and friendly pub with some happy & helpful members of staff. We were allowed to bring our German Shepherd in too! No drama, no hassle. Great atmosphere, easy going people, menu is short but food is truly yummy! We could not fault it. The mackerel pate is delicious. Good selection of local ales. We would definitely eat... More

If it were possible to assign a zero rating, this is the B&B that deserves such a score. For GBP90 and the summary we read of the facility on line we expected a far superior outcome. Our key issues were: 1. NOISE!!! Our room (number 4) was about a metre from the kitchen. In addition to that there was the... More
