From the moment we arrived we knew we had made a great choice, our hosts made us feel at home .The rooms are well equiped and maintained - clearly lots of care taken here. We stayed 3 nights and enjoyed them all - my husbands highlight was the cooked breakfast !!! I know he will want to go again. Well done... More

We have stayed in many B&B's and Honeycombe House is one of our favourites, one of the best we have ever stayed in. Ian and Val are perfect hosts and very accommodating, particularly with my cycling requirements. Unbeatable views from Honeycombe House over Mevagissey and the sea. The rooms are very nicely finished. We will be back again for another... More

I find this review hardest to write of our 6 week European trip. The view from this property is nothing short of breathtaking and it is very clean and fairly well priced and if that is what you prize then this is a good choice! However we didn't feel comfortable here at all and were pleased we only stayed one... More

This is the 2nd time we have stayed at Honeycombe House and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The accommodation was ideal. Lovely well equiped rooms and most courteous hosts. The quaint village of Mevagissey is an ideal place to enjoy Cornwall, its in easy reach of many tourist locations We hope to return in 2011

I found Honeycombe House to be very welcoming and friendly, the standard of room excellent, and the breakfasts plentiful of and a very good quality. The hosts Ian and Valerie, are very welcoming and friendly and go out of their way to ensure your stay is all you expect. Honeycombe house is a good base to explore the surrounding countryside,... Pros-spotlessly clean, good location. Cons-overbearing host, pre ordering sausages 24hrs in advance, noisy plumbing,no loud noises after10pm,arrive at the time you say or be lectured.Host should remember you are a paying guest who is holidaying and wants to relax which we did not at this establishment, and might be a good idea to let your partner prepare and serve breakfast, return visit very unlikely.

I was quite shocked and upset by the above comments, and do remember the particular guest who made these remarks. My responses to the specific comments made are as follows - We do ask guests if they think they might want a sausage as part of their breakfast (we start cooking them just before guests come down to breakfast, as... This professionally run and friendly B&B deserves all the compliments already posted on this site. For the visitor on foot it offers a welcome bolthole - our room was very clean and well appointed - the heated towel rail dried out our very wet socks overnight! Mevagissy is a busy place with a good choice of places to eat in... More

We had a great time in the Victoria Room. The view overlooked Mevagissey harbour and was stunning. Ian and Val were very helpful and accomodating. We must say that the little extras e.g. flowers in the room, changing the bed halfway through our stay and the drinks tray being filled everyday was fantastic. The only downside is that you can... If you go try and get the Albert or Victoria room because they have a balcony with wonderful views. We had the Albert and that was probably the best of the 2 with fantastic views on two sides. The room was very bright, clean and spacious. Cleaned every day. Toiletries and tea/coffee/water etc topped up each day. They even provide... More

Val and Ian greet us at the door to a very warm and friendly atmosphere, which continued in the Albert room, a fully appointed room complete with ample size balcony overlooking Mevagissey harbour, georgeous at night. The breakfast of ample choice , try the recommended sausages , begins the day , many brochures to browse in seperate sitting room ,... More
