My wife and I recently enjoyed a long weekend here with nine other couples in our group. The Management team of Michael, Fitz and Norman and their Staff could not have been more accommodating. For a Hotel of this size the food and service were exceptional, our room was comfortable and provided all that was required including a spotless bathroom.... More

Like the previous 2 reviewers I feel compelled to post a review in defence of The Tremarne following ridiculous "Terrible Place" review. As holiday makers: We never holiday in the UK Never stay at the same place twice Never book anything but B&B accommodation Never eat or drink in the place we stay Never like to socialise with other guests... I recently stayed there and I have to say it was one of the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at. I can only think that this is an untrue review and possibly a competitor as I know from another review the Hotel was recently (3 weeks ago) been upgraded by the AA from a Two Hotel - Three Star... More

I'm taking the unusual step of writing a rebuttal instead of a review,( the review will follow our annual stay at the Tremarne, 12 weeks and counting!) due to the entry "terrible place" which is completely contradictory to my experiences at the Tremarne hotel on the previous 8 occasions we have stayed.(see last years 2nd last comment "Hidden gem") As... Avoid this place at all costs. Terrible service, very rude staff. Bedroom was filthy and staff wouldn't help with anything we required. I will not be returning here ever again. Bed sheets were filthy, shower didn't work either.

We take all guest reviews and negative comments very seriously but can categorically state that the author of this malicious review has never stayed at the Tremarne Hotel and their review is totally unfounded. Following our AA inspection earlier this month we were immediately upgraded from a 2* to a 3* Hotel with an increased merit score of 87% due... More

We arrived on Saturday 16th Sept after a long journey from Norfolk to be greeted at the door by Norman who took us into a lovely sitting room and there we had a pot of tea and shortbread. The long journey forgtten. That was the start of a very relaxing stay at the hotel. You are looked after and spoilt... More

Have stayed several times but booked much later than normal this year but found the service, as before, to be as fresh as the produce served at meal times. All of the Tremarne's team aim is guest satisfaction whether it be giving accurate and honest views of the surrounding points of interest or furnishing emergency dental contacts it's all there.... It is really refreshing to be a guest in a hotel where you really feel it is all about the guest- a hotel which shows off what Britain can do best! We thoroughly enjoyed our 4 nights at the Tremarne. Michael and Fitz work hard, but obviously enjoy making sure that guests feel welcome. As it was the end of... More

A gem! We were looking for somewhere to stay so that we could visit the Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan and didn't have a clue where Mevagissey was, much less the Tremarne Hotel. We count ourselves very fortunate to have stumbled across this amazing hotel. Fitz, Michael and Norman are so great at what they do .... More

We were also with the GCCG classic car club for a weekend event and added an extra night. We had a second floor double room with sea view which was excellent - although the stairs could be a problem for some. On the other hand, flat Cornwall is not! And we had welcome assistance with our luggage as we had... More
