If you want a cosy real pub full of locals and good beer this is the place. The cod and chips are the best that I have eaten anywhere. The cod was soft and flakey, the batter crisp and light. The chips were chunky and not at all greasy and mushy peas included. The staff are friendly and genuinely pleased... More

A great proper pub with great food and atmosphere. The Bed and Breakfast is well priced with a great breakfast. We stayed over New Year and had a belter of a time. Fancy dress is a must!! The pub is in the centre of the village so its very close to all amenities - you have to park in the... More

I have traveled quite a lot, and eaten in many pubs old and new, and I can say this with all honesty This lunch time meal was the best meal my Family, and my self have ever had in any public house. The food was excellent, the bar was cosy, and comfortable, with a open fire to give it that... More

We visited this pub on our xmas stay in mevagissey. When we walked in the gorgeous tiny quaint pub hugged you with its welcome for both my hubby & me & our fussy pooch! The bar is tiny but stylish with a gorgeous fire & old pews to get comfy on. The bar is so cosy you can enjoy the... More

We spent two nights here, and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s a real pub, and the bar was buzzing both evenings; quite a feat for late November in a seaside town. Food is served all evening, and the speciality of the pub - fish and chips – was really excellent. Our room was clean and adequately roomy, and was accessible from... More

The Fountain is the prettiest pub in Mevagissey and serves great beer. The food is wonderful with generous portions and in the colder seasons the pub has a roaring fire and even twinkly ceiling lights near Christmas. The steaks served are to die for and the service is friendly and warm. Once word of warning - if you are taller... More

Visited on a Monday night to see the Meva Male Choir - what an incredible evening (& great beer), one we won't forget for a long time! Came back the next night for dinner - I had the whole sole which was HUGE but absolutely delicious and my partner had The Cod Father which was just the same! Lovely staff... More

We enjoyed a great glass of ratler cider in the pub a few times which was rather nice very friendly staff and the menu looked very appetising although we didn't eat there but my daughter and son in law did and said it was extremely lovely and the service was first class, I recommend it indeed if your ever in...
