My husband an I have stayed at the White hart several times over the past few years as visiting family in menheniot. Johnny an Suzy have been most welcoming. The bedrooms are always clean an inviting with clean linen daily. Breakfast is always hearty an enjoyed. The times we have eaten the evening meal at the pub have been great.... More

Booked for our engineers who stay all over the country this establishment definitely got the thumbs down. A twin room was booked. The heating was only put on after arrival; therefore the room was extremely cold and felt very damp. The heater in the bathroom was not working. One of the beds in the room was a childs bed (very... We stayed overnight and both had a sleepless night. Throughout the night there were repetitive noises, sounding a bit like somebody shovelling cement off a concrete floor, and banging like a door being opened and closed regularly. We thought perhaps some building work was being undertaken overnight. The proprietor said there was no work being done and were were the... More

We stayed here a few years ago. It is a lovely inn with really good food. The staff are really friendly and helpful, portions of food were plentiful and tasty. We were shown a room which to us felt wrong and we asked to change, the second room also did not feel right so we landed up on a family... More

Booked at 11:00pm as last minute because friends had let us down. Travelling with 2 children ( one a new born) from London was a long tiring journey by car... Hungry and exhausted and tired of phoning around for hotels that were all full... This hotel had accommodated us and finally a good nights sleep. Because we booked so late... More

Friendly pub/B&B in small village. Food was good as were the beers and cider. Rooms were comfortable, largewith a really comfy lovely bed. They are above the bar so we didnt expect to sleep early although I can imagine if you wanted an early night you might be kept awake by the chatter. The only negative was the breakfast time... More

Booked this via late rooms, looked good and was looking forward to it. How disappointing. We arrived on Saturday Eve and it was very very busy, check in was at the bar!!! So we had to wait sometime to be served. We were shown our rooms and brrrr, they were cold and dirty. Heating did come on later that night... More

This is a real country pub - good beer, good food, great value for money and best of all REALLY nice people running it. It is an old-fashioned hostelry with bags of charm and genuine features, from the genuine ceiling beams to the slate bar floor. In short this place is superb. Don't let the narrow lanes put you off... More

It's a little off the beaten track, but it's well worth looking out for if you are in need of a place to stop along the A38 between Plymouth and Liskeard. A few minutes up the road from Liskeard, this sizeable country pub has two large bars, great staff and a really nice vibe about it. The locals are a... More

My Husband and i were travelling to Ashton, Cornwall for our Autumn Break and we stayed overnight at The White Hart, Menhenniot, Liskeard. The Hotel was Clean and comfortable. Good food (Dinner & Breakfast) in Lounge Bar. Friendly locals in Public Bar. It was a Friday evening and both bars were busy. Would have been better if they had more... More
