Everything about our experience was great, from the beginning James was fantastic at answering email queries even before i made a booking. We stayed at Barley Park for two nights & arriving to a homemade lemon drizzle cake made the start of our stay even better. Barley Park is a wonderful one bedroom cottage, it was surprisingly spacious (the photos... More

The one week of the year we can truly escape and we found the perfect bolt hole. Our spaniel had the best time - beautiful walk to Bude along the canal path. Lunch, outside on the quay in lovely sunshine - superb. Eldest son fished in the lake, youngest loved the pool & play barn. Stayed in Chapel Park which... More

We were two families with teens and stayed in Nan's House which I would happily move to permanently. Masses of space, great open plan living and five very good sized bedrooms. Fabulous new indoor pool complex, well thought out. Our kids enjoyed the Play Barn where there is a trampoline and air hockey and table tennis along with things for... More

We visited these cottages for new year and they were great. As many other reviewers say there are little tweaks (more than one bin bag on arrival, more storage in the bedrooms and bathroom, less strict about dogs, change of towels, hand soap), BUT these are really picky things and certainly would not deter me, I would just know a... Great cottages walking distance to Bude. New swimming pool a great addition. Very few rules about dogs so relaxing holiday for the dogs and owners as no need to watch them every minute. Just note of caution that some of the cottages are beginning to show signs of wear and tear.

Just back from staying there and it was definitely beautiful. The cottage was very clean and well presented. I loved how secluded it was and that it had an amazing spa and beautiful walks (canal walk to Summerleaze beach is great). However, I haven't given 5 stars for a few reasons. 1) dog friendly to a certain extent. If you... More

We had our 3rd trip to Whalesborough in October, and tried one of the new properties. We were not disappointed. Once again you guys have provided an exceptionally high quality finish, very tasteful interior decoration, and everything you could need when staying away. We stayed in Beachcomber, and have previously stayed in Woody Platt and Calf House. Great properties, fantastic... More

Wow what can I say the place, the setting, the accommodation and ALL the facilities were amazing. As the weather was very kind we enjoyed a swim everyday in the outdoor pool!! My family and I had a wonderful time at Whalesborough. We were also very lucky as the house we stayed in was brand new. Everything was prefect and... More

I visited Whalesborough in September this year, with my husband and our 17 year old springer spaniel. We had an excellent time and wouldn't hesitate to return, the accommodation was first class, very clean and contemporary, with everything you could possibly need, though we did stay in a 3 bedroomed property which obviously gave us plenty of room. We had... More
