Myself and my partner recently stayed here for two nights as I was due to run a marathon locally. The staff are very friendly and accommodating with some really good food to add to the stay as well. The room was clean, spacious and comfy, what more can one ask for from a country pub, highly recommend it for a... More

Visited this hotel for lunch twice, good no frills or fancy food and plenty of it at a great price, the bar and dining areas are as you would expect a real country pub to be with a nice wood burner stove and very polite and friendly staff. Unfortunately I can't comment on the hotel rooms as I was only... More

The Cheesewring Hotel is a popular venue for local people and highly recommended. Good traditional English food. Friendly welcome service. A great place for a Sunday lunch. Generous portions and piping hot freshly prepared food.

We went to the Cheesewring on the recommendation of a taxi driver in Liskeard, and we were so pleased with the meal and service that we went back again the following evening! The menu was far better than many pubs offer, and very reasonably priced - it's easy to see why the Cheesewring does such a good trade. On the... More

We stayed overnight on a weekend trip, arrived early Saturday afternoon, lovely walks all around the area. The Cheesewring itself was brilliant, room immaculate , staff very friendly and the food in the restaraunt was delicious, not to mention the breakfast in the morning, kept us going all day.. Prices were pretty reasonable as well, will definitely be back. Locals... More

We have eaten at the cheesewring before but always wanted to stay. We found it had the B&B friendliness and helpfulness and personal approach, but with all the little bits that you need. Good en suite. Comfy bed, iron etc. The breakfasts are excellent freshly cooked to order. Excellent range of well kept beer and the really good evening food.... More

Enjoyed a meal here with my wife and our dog rocky. Food nice atmosphere pleasant nice find high on the moor. Prices average. Nice quiet town off the beaten track of Cornwall worth a visit. It is very near the cheesewring on the moor which is worth a visit and can be combined with a visit to this pub.
