Lovely homecooked food, this pub is always packed out and you need to book, says it all. That many customers can't be wrong, Very varied menu with a specials board, You need to be hungry the portions are excellant, I can never manage a pudding which look awesome, overall excellant value for money.

Whenever I am visiting Cornwall a trip up to the cheesewring for dinner is a must. Great home cooked food spot on every time. With countless homemade desserts to choose from. Meal for 4 costs approx 12.50 per head which is an absolute bargain. The landlady and land lord are always there to give u a warm welcome. This place... More

Look, it's not all doom and gloom. This is a nice local pub clean and friendly, would say that the craic is mighty here on a a weekend. Very friendly staff and land lady. However the food is pretty poor even as pub food goes, everything seems to coated in oil and straight out of the freezer!! The fact that... More

We were only at the Cheesewring Hotel for 2 nights but it was a really great stay. The rooms were lovely and comfortable, with good-sized ensuites, and the twin even had a comfy sofa. A full English Breakfast was included in the very reasonable room price and the food was delicious - we ate there both evenings. We really enjoyed... More

How on earth did this place get 32 excellent ratings, service was shocking, waited 1.5hrs for food, nobody even acknowledged we were in the restaurant but the biggest let down was the food, all frozen and not nice at all, will never go back and would definitely never eat there again!

I arrived at the Hotel about 22.30 hours for a one night stay on business. I was made to feel very welcome by the manager, and had a very nice clean spacious bedroom. Breakfast was a really nice, having cereal, and a full cooked English. Although a bit remote, it was quiet, and comfortable. I would certainly recommend this hotel... More

Friendly, helpful, kind people. We stayed three nights and enjoyed it. The room was clean, reasonably spacious, and had a large bathroom (with a double width shower). Breakfast was well cooked and filling. This is a pleasant pub which is popular and well attended in both bar and restaurant. Not posh, but a relaxed atmosphere. The setting is wonderful for... More

We travelled from London to the Cheesewring Hotel for a weekend stay as we were attending a wedding nearby. We were entertained by the superb hosts. It was excellent pub grub and our room was comfortable, light and airy. Thank you Gary, Marcia and all the lovely people we met who made our stay such an enjoyable one.

We arrived at short notice at the Cheesewring. Our room was just right. We had dinner which was perfect after a long day's walk. At breakfast Gary let us know all about the local bull - Scrunch - and the filming which we missed by a week. Great value and we will stay again. Thank you!
