Basic but clean and tidy, breakfast was a squeeze as the dining room was not large enough to manage all the guests. Hosts were polite. Breakfast was lacking a little in choice if you did not want a hot option. Wifi very very slow

If you are like us, and tend to rely on public transport, you couldn't ask for a better location for travelling around this part of Cornwall. I walk with a stick, and it took about 10 mins to walk from Liskeard rail station, pulling a luggage trolley. If you want to travel south to Looe and Polperro, best bus stop... More

I stayed for one night in July as I had a wedding nearby. My room did the job just fine - ensuite small, but clean throughout. The bed was comfy and I didn't have a problem with any noise - I slept really well. Decor is fairly dated. Breakfast was cooked to order and was very nice compared to some... More

I stayed here in early May 2014. Once was enough! Tiny and threadbare room, dreadful breakfast, gloomy and unwelcoming are all suitable descriptors for this place. Worst of all, the owner/operator only takes cash, no credit cards which is astonishing these days and I only learned this on arrival. Keep well away from this place.

Well if its a bed for the night that you want, this place will do. If you actually want room to move, then this place certainly need a miss. Its only saving grace was the cleanliness. But then again, how much work is required to keep a shoebox tidy. Barry, the host was far too overzealous in my opinion. His doddering... More

I am nearing the end of a five day stay at the Elnor having attended a training course in Liskeard. The room was warm and comfortable. The proprietors were welcoming. The breakfast was nicely cooked (not too greasy) and there was plenty of it. The lounge is pleasant and homely. I shall be returning for further courses and I shall... More

We had the misfortune of staying here for two nights. While visiting friends. We read reviews but decided to investigate for ourselves. "It cant be that bad" we thought. It wasnt. It was the worst place i have ever stayed in. The beds were uncomfortable. Room was hot. Hosts we found rude and intimidating. Breakfast was appauling. I think its... More

We stayed at Elnor for 4 nights in September. It was not our first stay but it seems to get better every time. This time our great surprise was the excellent WIFI facility which was very easily accessed via password in our room. We had a double room and a single for my disabled niece. Ours was in fact a...
