Walking in the vicinity and stopped to have a bite. Nice selection of food . Good prices. Friendly staff. Dogs welcome. I had beer battered cod and it was very nice.Choice of veg to go with it. I opted for salad and it was lovely. Would come again. Dessert menu looked good but we were full up and had a... More

visited in the evening for drinks and a meal. Good selection of beer served in a locals bar. Menu was limited but food all good and value for money. Small road for access but plenty of parking when you finally get there.

Spent just one night here with a large family group. Ronnie and her team were extremely helpful in making sure we had everything we needed. Our rooms were spotless as usual, lovely and warm , with added extras of Hot chocolate and cookies! Dinner was delicious as ever, ample portions at a very reasonable price! The bar staff were charming... More

Lerryn is a fantastic village at the head of an estuary inlet, stunning walks in the local countryside mean that after a days trudging a good pint and a meal are welcomed. We literally ran through the flooded stepping stones on the estuary to get to the pub within 3 minutes of close of service but the barman welcomed us... More

On my second visit from Plymouth to Lerryn and to the pub (drinks only, first time), a friend and I decided to have a light lunch. I went for the mussels. They were served with one slice of thin cut ready sliced white bread (Mother's Pride ?) and were only cooked in plain water. The dish was unpalatable and inexcusable.... More

The Ship Inn is typical of many rural pubs up and down the West Country - pleasant, simple and unpretentious. Part of the pub has been given over to the Village Library, which is a nice community gesture. The staff who served us - barman and waitress- were both friendly and helpful. We had lunch in the attractive small Beer garden,... More

We didn't stay as we live quite near by. Popped in for a quick lunch after messing about on the river. Great pub grub, sat outside in the sunshine. Enjoying the afternoon. Lerryn is a great place and the ship is just right.

We stayed four nights at The Ship Inn with Ronni, Sam & Jen and had a terrific experience. The room was lovely with views over the quaint street and ample room and large bathroom. The village itself is tranquil and picturesque. We enjoyed our meals and the local fare, the service was good, and the bar was always fun and... More
