I nipped down to Cornwall for an overnight stay to take my dogs for a couple of decent beach walks and for convenience called at the local Travelodge. This was full so I was recommended The White Heart and booked immediately. I was given a very attractive and spotlessly clean ground floor courtyard room with a very comfortable bed and... More

I saw an earlier review that someone said they felt intimidate by having to check in at the bar and I felt the same, I had to carry all my bags in through the bar and pick up my keys from there. It might have been my imagination but it seem to quiet down when you walked and you felt... More

Not sure if this wants to be a pub or a hotel or a restaurant. Never been in a breakfast room where we felt an annoyance to the staff. The atmosphere at breakfast was tense between guests and staff not that breakfast was anything special it was all cheap produce. The place needs desperately updating and it smells too. The... More

Convenient location a few miles from St Ives. Limited car parking at the back of the hotel, although pay and display is available opposite and costs only £2 from 6 pm till 8 am. A few restaurants nearby, plus an Asda for further convenience. Room we had was spacious, which was the biggest plus. Breakfast, included in the rate, was... More

We booked this hotel to avoid going to a Travelodge as we wanted to have 3 rooms for 2 nights mid week. Booking was done over the phone and the staff were really helpful with any questions we had prior to booking. We had rooms 5,7 and 9, all twin rooms and all really good sizes with an en-suite. The... Well where do I start? The carpark is at the back (limited space) and you walk through a pub full of locals who make you feel VERY uncomfortable, with all your luggage to check in. Then you have to carry said luggage up stairs yourself even though all the locals and staff can see you struggling! Cobwebs everywhere. Young lady behind... More

We booked 2 rooms here for a 1 night stay and I can only say that I felt like having a wash the moment we left. It was tatty, needs lots of work doing to it and definitely not worth the £85 per night we paid. When we arrived, we had to change rooms as the window wouldn't close and... More

Needed two rooms and after checking booking.com the only room's left were a normal double and superior double room. One room at £80 per night and superior at £115 per night. Both rooms indicated that they were in the hotel, full WiFi and looked good. Arrived at 17.30 and keys were behind the bar, very friendly lady but the local drinkers gave... More

The hotel is unmissable as you drive under the Hayle viaduct and from the outside an interesting building. To start with there is very little free parking so be prepared to pay at the car park next door. It's basically a pub which lets rooms upstairs and the welcome was good and I sat and had a couple of pints... More

A friend and I stayed here while walking the South West Coast Path (the hotel is conveniently situated just metres from the path). Arriving soon after 6pm, reception was closed and we had to collect the key from the bar. Our first-floor room was spacious with comfortable, yet creaky beds. There was quite a lot of noise from the road... More
