This is a lovely property, full of character with stone walls and deep windowsills, full of history but with all modern facilities. There is a delightful outside seating area outside, with comfy chairs and under cover that invites you to share a drink with friends before dinner and coffee afterwards. We stayed in Room 1, a good sized bedroom with... More

What a wonderful experience. Steve and his staff. Fabulous, nothing too much trouble. Lovely food, stunning views, great rooms. Thanks. Leon, Louise, Ron, Tom & Mia. The Fish-pie is to die for, So is the Burger. Should really mention the two young guys who work tirelessly to appease any requests.

At the Liscawn on a 5 day break and was very pleasantly surprised. New owners for the last 10 months Steve and Gaynor could not be more welcoming or hardworking. A lot has been done to improve this small country hotel and past reviews should be read with caution. Wonderful views in a secluded off road location make this a... More

Family of 5 stayed for 2 nights. Freindly, welcoming and exactly what this sort of hotel in Cornwall should be. Having been here on and off over the last fourteen years, its great to see that with a change in management, this place is starting to be what it has always had the potential to be.

Attended a get together of family here following a funeral. The care and attention provided by Steve and his staff was exceptional. The location is perfect with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. The inn is very comfortable and well decorated. The food was a finger buffet which was very well presented, delicious and very imaginative. The tiny pasties with... More

Stayed here for 4 nights instead of initial intentional 3 nights, drove down a day earlier to make it more of an enjoyable break after the long drive from Newcastle before our sons pass out parade from HMS Raleigh. Phoned whilst en-route to see if there was any rooms available, owners were very accommodating & helpful. 1st impressions when approaching... More

My husband & I have dined at the liscawn on several occasions over the last few months. I can honestly say we have nothing but praise for the quality of food served & the hard work put in by Steve & Gaynor. The pub is open for food from mid morning to late evening. We have introduced friends & family... More

it calls itself a B&B but it is a hotel. Wonderfully located, very well kept, clean, quiet. Rooms are wide, comfortable. Excellent food. Thanks to Steve's supervision, everything is run perfectly and made enjoyable.

The Liscawn - under new management and ownership is a real find for a light lunch - there were six of us and we all enjoyed excellent fare. The staff could not have been more helpful and even met requests for 'no butter' and a fresh fruit salad without batting an eyelid. It can get busy at lunchtime in the... More

I visited this pub for an evening meal for my birthday whilst visiting Cornwall. The food was excellent. I also enjoyed a glass of red wine. Well worth a visit and I would go again. Thank you to the staff at the Liscawn who made me very welcome.
