My husband & I have dined at the liscawn on several occasions over the last few months. I can honestly say we have nothing but praise for the quality of food served & the hard work put in by Steve & Gaynor. The pub is open for food from mid morning to late evening. We have introduced friends & family... More

it calls itself a B&B but it is a hotel. Wonderfully located, very well kept, clean, quiet. Rooms are wide, comfortable. Excellent food. Thanks to Steve's supervision, everything is run perfectly and made enjoyable.

The Liscawn - under new management and ownership is a real find for a light lunch - there were six of us and we all enjoyed excellent fare. The staff could not have been more helpful and even met requests for 'no butter' and a fresh fruit salad without batting an eyelid. It can get busy at lunchtime in the... More

I visited this pub for an evening meal for my birthday whilst visiting Cornwall. The food was excellent. I also enjoyed a glass of red wine. Well worth a visit and I would go again. Thank you to the staff at the Liscawn who made me very welcome.

Steve the owner has an excellent track record for creating a comfortable place to stay; this is a work in progress, although clearly, a great deal has already been achieved and I'm certain it can only get better. However, his chef needs to up his game, I suggest he visits Sam's in Fowey and check out how a salad should... More

Stayed in Rm 7 for one night whilst in the area on business, a large double with 4 poster bed, a huge wardrobe and dressing table. The bathroom had a shower and separate bath with twin sinks. Dinner was served in the bar and was delicious, as was breakfast. Everyone was very friendly and couldn't do enough to ensure I... More

We recently held my husband's 50th birthday party at the Liscawn. We wanted somewhere that had the versatility to cope with a large number of people (180-ish) either indoors/under cover or outdoors, depending on the weather, plus rooms for travelling guests. The party started at 5pm so we also wanted a casual garden party/festival feel. Steve and Gaynor were incredibly... More

Thank you so much for that glowing review! It was a fantastic party that we were glad to be involved in. Everyone seemed to enjoy the whole evening and we have had nothing but positive comments, so well done to you guys too! Very pleased that you managed to give your 'control freak' the night off & trusted us enough... More

This was an unexpected gem. We booked it because of lack of other choice in Portwrinkle- we were walking the coastal path. But it turned out to be a brilliant choice. After a small mix up over our booking, all was good. Very friendly staff, a massive room, great food in the restaurant and lovely patio / terrace area overlooking... More

This was an overnight stop on a South West Coast Path walk, last stop before Plymouth. The hotel is in a quiet rural location with great views of the hills around and yet close to Plymouth and just behind the coast near Portwrinkle. It is family run with friendly service and we had large comfortable rooms. If the weather had... More

Walking the South West coast path with two friends and a dog we enjoyed clean and comfortable accommodation in recently renovated rooms, with awesome views and grounds. Super food but the cherry on top was the folk duo "Buspass" who provided great entertainment for us on the final evening of our walking holiday.
