Warming open fire. Delicious Sunday lunch, shared starter, main of tender roast beef with all the trimmings, even gluten free gravy for me. Followed by dark chocolate and raspberry creme brulee. The staff were very friendly and accommodating regarding any special dietary requirements too. Will definitely be visiting again.

A wet, showery January day but inside The Finnygook, a superb welcome and excellent service throughout. A proper pub with room for drinkers and eaters. An open fire to warm by. Good selection of national ales and local beer as well. Local cider on tap and on the shelf. Good menu with real choice but not over the top. Choices... More

The staff here are lovely, accommodating and hard working. We had a good breakfast every day with lovely toast. The only thing letting this place down is a few material items and improvements that would help it fly. Things like showers over the bath in the rooms and new coffee pots that don't leak the grains so readily... That would... More

Went there for lunch with friends and chose the haddock & chips, it was really lovely. Good fish, lovely crisp batter , a really good lunch. I can honestly say that it was the nicest fish & chips I have had for a long time. Well done!

First time visit for late Sunday Lunch. Lovely friendly staff - nice atmosphere and the food was very good - lots of fresh vegetables and generous portion of meat. Asked for extra gravy and this was quickly brought to the table with a smile. Views from the restaurant part of the pub are fab. Will definatelly return

Booked in for five on a Sunday. Roast beef and all the trimmings.... Very very tasty and plenty of it, also lamb and pork were good. Keep it up guys, just a little more attention to detail and consistency.

We stayed at this Cornish Country Pub for two nights because of it's proximity to a wedding we were attending. We ate there on the first night and the food was average. The bedrooms however need a real makeover. There is a musty smell and there is little insulation between rooms and the rooms themselves are shabby. A real shame... More

I arranged a visit to The Finnygook Inn for my team's wrap party. We had been working in the area filming a new documentary for the previous two months and came here for work drinks on the last night of filming. The pub is lovely and was extremely accommodating to fit in our party of 30 people. We had a... More

An excellent place to eat, service slow, but we'll worth the wait. Menu limited and no bar snacks or sandwiches. Do not stay here the rooms are shabby and uncomfortable. Could be a great place with a makeover. Nothing is too much trouble for the lovely staff. Great location with wonderful views from the restaurant.
