Booked this place last minute and very glad we did :) The view of the river and surrounding countryside from the beer garden and restaurant are stunning - great relaxing scenery. The pub is only a short drive from a lovely dog friendly beach and great cafe so you have the best of both worlds :) The staff were helpful... More

The Finnygook Inn is an absolute gem in East Cornwall. The location is fantastic, only a few miles from Plymouth (via the Torpoint Ferry) for those who can't do without their retail therapy! Our room was clean, comfortable and well appointed. The ambience in the bar was great and the food simply exquisite. If you want a formal sit-down meal,... More

This inn is not ideal for those walking the SW coast path, it is some way uphill from the path. Having said that you can re-join the path without having to go all the way down again. Our room was OK, small but comfortable beds. They have free wifi but we weren't able to get a connection anywhere in the... More

Stayed one night as we were walking the SW Coast Path and the Finnygook is well sited for a stop between Looe and Cawsand .We were delighted with our room which was attractively decorated with all we needed. We had opted for Sharrow which is a double room with private but separate bathroom, along the corridor which was also well... More

Fathers Day meal a bit shoddy to say the least. Pre-booked a table for seven for a Father's Day meal. All ordered a roast dinner, as saw previous meals coming out with a large Yorkshire pudding and a nice selection of vegetables. When our meal eventually arrived after a considerable wait, the waitress who was also running the bar informed... More

Our room was perfect, very comfortable king size bed, clean and with a great view. the pub is really a gem. open fires & great local beer. The Staff/owners were exceptionally friendly and helpful and breakfast was prompt and tasty. Great location in a lovely quaint village... More

I feel it is only fair as a customer present on the night in question, that I air my own review. Sat just across the room, I was forced to watch and listen to a table that was rude, demanding and on a busy night expected priority over everyone else in the building. We sat in the restaurant at the... More

went here for a meal for a birthday, we ordered 8 starters of which only 4 came out, plus they took an hour to come, when we pointed this out, no real reason was given, just the waiter (who turned out to be the manager) saying sorry he made a mistake! we then waited another hour for main meals, some...
