Bowood Park Hotel and Golf Course is located in a lovely part of North Cornwall, close to many popular attractions such as the Eden project and the port villages of Port Isaac and Padstow. Bowood Park is set in beautiful surroundings and the hotel is pleasant enough. The room we stayed in was reasonably large and clean. I stayed here for only one night and chose this hotel mainly because of its location close to the beautiful north coast of Cornwall, with places like Padstow and Tintagel. I stayed at this hotel last week with my wife and it is in a fabulous location near Camelford in North Cornwall. We were fortunate enough to have a very pleasant double bedroom with an enormous balcony, complete with table and chairs, which had a tremendous view over the golf course and for miles beyond. Recently went on a golf society weekend to this place. Great course, great bar staff and reception. Clean rooms and nice and friendly staff, but the catering was disappointing. Food came out cold and the time between meals for a group of 20 was at times 1hr 20mins. They are charging good prices for an inferior quality. Would not go... more

Beautiful hotel in the most delightful setting.......................Spring at Bowood is simply Heaven on Earth. Very well kept course, with an equally good hotel, lovely food, and friendly staff. Can't wait to return to this special place. more

Spent New Year here, had a great time. the staff are brilliant always smiling, working hard and very helpful.The food is very good and plentiful. The room was very clean, tea/coffee making,hair drier in room. have stayed in 4 star hotels worse than this. Friendly hotel which provided good service. Rooms were a good standard and a reasonable size. Both breakfast and evening meals were excellent, with staff willing to meet individual requests. Enjoyed a three day golf break here. Reasonable value, mostly friendly staff, although some could do with a charisma enhancement. Having said that one or two were really friendly and helpful (thanks Emma in particular). The course itself is pretty much what you would expect and worth playing, with one or two very good holes.
