We had such an amazing stay. All the staff at the hotel we're fantastic and made our stay even more memorable. We ate both nights in the hotel bar area and the food was lush and again the service was excellent. The room was very cosy and warm and the bed was so comfortable. Even though the weather was very... We had lunch at the Wellington and were so impressed we decided to return for Dinner. Such a warm and welcoming pub and dining room with impressively good food. Staff are professional but friendly and a wonderful atmosphere in the warm log fired bar.

Stayed here as a 60th birthday present to my husband from the kids. Lovely hotel, lovely comfortable rooms and the staff were brilliant. An old and quirky hotel ... Will certainly stay here again. As this is a old hotel there are stairs to climb so not suitable for disabled unfortunately. Highly recommended

This weekend away was a Christmas present for me as it is one of my favourite 'get away from it all' places in the UK. We stayed in Room 4 which was a double room on the front of the hotel. It was spotlessly clean, spacious enough for the two of us and the en suite had everything you need,... More

It was small but perfectly formed. It had two bedrooms and a separate living area/ kitchen. Our 1 year old loved running up and down... More

Lovely welcome, friendly staff, great location. Dog bowl and biscuit was provided in the room too! Perfect room and comfy bed. Amazing shower too. Food was excellent and so was the service. Only reason for a 4 and not a 5 was we were hoping to see a ghost or two! :)

This a really charming and interesting little hotel. The decor is somewhat yesteryear but that adds to it's charm. It super dog friendly, which adds to the really warm welcome you receive. I can't recommend this place enough, if you want to step away from the same old chic, boutique formulated approach to a hotel. Give it a go, you'll... More
