We stayed here on our final night in Cornwall after reading a ghostly review my other half thought it would be fun. The hotel was stunning, we were immediately greeted by staff who couldn't do enough for you. They were so welcoming. The room was huge! We had a few rattlers in the bar which were very nice. We were... More

We are family of five and we dined at the bar area twice already. We love the fireplace inside which has been very romantic and pleasant, especially in February :) The food has been really yummy and as chef I can recommend this place to visit.

This hotel is right in the centre of Boscastle, close to the spectacular harbour and the coast path. On booking in I was taken up to my single room tucked away on the top floor at the side of the hotel. The room was clean and very comfortable and came with all expected facilities. There wasn't exactly much of a... More

This is a lovely character hotel that pours out history, located a minutes walk from Boscastle Harbour. We arrived an hour and a half before booking in time but that was not a problem. The receptionist booked us in an took us to our room (no.15). The room was probably on the small side but it was very clean and... More

We stayed on a Saturday night on the way down to Lands End and a return business meeting in Penzance on the Monday morning. We checked in late afternoon and were given room 18, this is on the side of the one way system that brings mainly village residents down into the resort centre. The room was large, with a... More

We have eaten in the restaurant at the Welly a few times before on our visits to Boscastle and also stayed before, so when we decided to come to Cornwall for a few days walking we had no hesitation at staying here and booking a table in the Waterloo restaurant. The room we had was very good, but not exceptional.... More

We decided to go to cornwall on the spur of the moment and my husband booked the last available room at the Wellington. To say we were delighted with our room was an understatement, room 14 in the turret, lovely. Spacious, great view, massive bed and everything we needed supplied. Lovely framed list of the great and good who have... More

we popped in here on fri the 19th sept for a few beers but got hingry when we saw the people at the next table being served some rather good looking dinners so we ordered the burgers - they were rather delicious - the local beers and ciders are well kept and tasted rather good also.

We were ushered by a very troubled receptionist to the deserted barren bar for breakfast, as the main dinning room was full. I asked maybe for a little music, which I was told would not be soft!!!! We had to asend to a flight of stairs to the Main breakfast area for cereal, which appeared to have 40 places but... More

Thank you for your review and I am sorry about your experience. I have looked into this and I think that we may have been trying to be too helpful! The hotel was full and the dining room therefore fully occupied for breakfast. It would therefore have been better for us to say that we could not offer breakfast on... More
