I was walking the SW Coastal path and had arrived here from Bude on a dark and dreary night. It had been an uncomfortable walk in diminishing light and as I thought I was the only guest walked straight past a well lit building. going back and entering the building ( Iwas surprised as I still thought I was the... An overnight stop whilst walking the SWCP. I had never stayed at a YHA before and was very impressed. It was very windy on the coast path and we met Linda walking her dogs, who coincidentally worked there. She directed us inland via Valency Valley after first offering us a lift into Boscastle. Thank you very much Linda. We had... More

We stayed at YHA Boscastle for two nights while walking the southwest coast path. We were impressed at the cleanliness of the youth hostel. But not surprised when we saw how hard Angie worked making it spotless. Angie was very friendly and welcoming. Our private room was warm, clean and enough space for us. Kitchen facilities are extensive and we... More

Angie and Anita were incredible in helping me organise a hen weekend for 15. We had exclusive use of the hostel, Anita showed us in when we arrived, then left us to make ourselves at home. The hostel is newly done out since the floods in 2004, so a perfect introduction to YHA for those that haven't done it before.... More

This is a great hostel to stay at, It is very homely & comfortable, with a large clean kitchen & clean showers. From our bedroom we had a lovely view of where the river met the sea and at night we could hear the waves breaking. The location is good for many walks along the stunning coastline or along the... A truly amazing find! A beautiful location, spotlessly clean, spacious and really homely and comfortable. We had it filled to capacity for my 50th birthday and there was plenty of room for everyone. The village is quaint and friendly and the coast walks are just beautiful. We are already planning on making it an annual event.

A wonderful hostel! We arrived to a warm welcome, spotless and comfortable rooms, a well equipped kitchen, a lounge full of sofas and games and a great view to top it off. You could literally hear the water lapping up the side of the building from the room window. You couldn't get a better location - right at the end... More

Everything a YHA should be...you can't really say more. The only issues would be the cost and location of car parking and lack of wi-fi BUT this is Cornwall and it is a YHA where there is a strong tradition of getting there without a car and surely we can do without wi-fi... We will return if we can

we stayed in one of the 'private rooms' at the Boscastle YHA which unusually for a hostel it was more of a studio apartment than a bedroom as it came with a double bed, single bed and bunk bed and our very own studio kitchen. The location is beautiful and we could hear the waves gently breaking when the tide... More

This YHA was everything a YHA should be. Comfortable beds, great shower just outside the room and an AMAZING location. The hosts were helpful when we asked where to eat, and provided information about the area. Also I noted that the manager offered a stranded duo a ride up to a farm which was very kind! The dorms are on... More
