A hotel is attractive in quite a good location within walking distance of the centre of Twickenham and the river. Parking is good and some of it in an underground car park. There can be noise from the main road and aircraft of course. On arrival, the receptionist was abrupt and quickly talked though the necessary information, we felt anything... More

Four of us were travelling on business, one who uses an electric wheelchair. The hotel was very helpful in accommodating the various requirements and has several accessible rooms on the ground floor (although there were still oversights for true accessibility). The restaurant was good and not expensive for the area and the ambience and extensive conservatory extension were very pleasant.... More

We booked into this hotel through Booking.com. The pictures looked good and it had a free car park which is very important in London. Well the receptionist was excellent. The two bar meals that we head were every good and the waitress was lovely. The breakfast and waiter were excellent and overall it was just great value. I will know... More

We stayed at the Alexander pope as we were attending a wedding at Strawberry Hill House. It's an excellent place for the venue and only a 5minute walk. The building has a lovely glass fronted atrium where you're able to enjoy drinks/food/breakfast. On arrival we waited 10 minutes to be checked in but there was tasty cucumber water! Parking is... We recently stayed over the weekend at the Alexander Pope whilst attending an event at Twickenham. We booked 2 superior rooms which had balconies overlooking the front & river. Both rooms were of a good standard and furnishings looked new and tasteful. Yes, if you looked for it there were a few minor details that needed attention but overall we... More

Room was a good size with very comfortable bed and well furnished. Location opposite the river is excellent. Small underground car park is a bonus in this area. Ate in the restaurant and food is good upmarket pub grub i.e. Wild Boar sausage & Colkannon Mash. Breakfast was equally good.

I did a lot of work in the Twickenham area over a few weeks, and due to the place being busy I was put up in quite a selection of hotels. I liked this place. Not brilliant for parking, though to be honest I was always lucky. Seemingly the place has been done up a bit, but every room I... More

Booked this hotel due to its proximity to Hampton Court flower show. This was a nice hotel and the staff were very pleasant. The room was big and clean. We enjoyed our two night stay. As it was the main bus route, stop just outside the hotel we travelled the area by bus.

We arrived early in the morning off a long flight from Aus, our two rooms weren't ready as we expected, but the staff took our luggage for us and told us they would have the rooms available ASAP. When we got the rooms we were wrapped - our room was on the corner, tons of space for a UK hotel,... More

Ideal for the centre of Twickenham, the Alexander Pope offers comfortable rooms and a very good breakfast served by friendly staff. The hotel frontage is appealing and it's quite nice to sit out the front of this hotel enjoying a drink on a warm summers evening. Only a 5 minute walk into the centre, you can leave the car in...
