After a mess up with a booking in Esher and no where to stay due to a conference in the area, I came across The Alexander Pope. From the moment I arrived the stay was wonderful - great room, lovely bar/restaurant area. Great Fish & Chips ... and a really lovely breakfast in the morning. Can't recommend place enough.

The rooms we had were large and comfortable. They were equipped with a large tele and wifi which is pretty much essential these days. We slept well. The breakfast could have been better. The toaster was slightly defective. The porridge was good though.

A nice hotel and bar area with a comfortable room with and air conditioning. The latter was needed in the current hot weather. The car parking barrier wasn't working when we arrived so had to use the exit to enter. The food was of decent quality and not overpriced for London rates. Best raspberry ripple creme brulee ever eaten. Close... More

This hotel was chosen as it was a short walk to a function we attended. The first bedroom had a bathroom with a broken toilet seat so we were immediately given another. The twin beds were a generous size and very comfortable. We had a view over the park and a small balcony. The bedroom was very spacious with a... More

We needed to stay in the area as we wanted to visit places of interest around and about and the Alexander Pope could not have been more convenient. We were able to get the bus right outside the hotel to Hampton Court, (the bus went door to door), and Kew Gardens, (short walk from the bus), and we also went... More

A hotel is attractive in quite a good location within walking distance of the centre of Twickenham and the river. Parking is good and some of it in an underground car park. There can be noise from the main road and aircraft of course. On arrival, the receptionist was abrupt and quickly talked though the necessary information, we felt anything... More

Four of us were travelling on business, one who uses an electric wheelchair. The hotel was very helpful in accommodating the various requirements and has several accessible rooms on the ground floor (although there were still oversights for true accessibility). The restaurant was good and not expensive for the area and the ambience and extensive conservatory extension were very pleasant.... More

We booked into this hotel through Booking.com. The pictures looked good and it had a free car park which is very important in London. Well the receptionist was excellent. The two bar meals that we head were every good and the waitress was lovely. The breakfast and waiter were excellent and overall it was just great value. I will know... More

We stayed at the Alexander pope as we were attending a wedding at Strawberry Hill House. It's an excellent place for the venue and only a 5minute walk. The building has a lovely glass fronted atrium where you're able to enjoy drinks/food/breakfast. On arrival we waited 10 minutes to be checked in but there was tasty cucumber water! Parking is... We recently stayed over the weekend at the Alexander Pope whilst attending an event at Twickenham. We booked 2 superior rooms which had balconies overlooking the front & river. Both rooms were of a good standard and furnishings looked new and tasteful. Yes, if you looked for it there were a few minor details that needed attention but overall we... More
