As usual the staff were really helpful. Room was excellent since the refurb. Facing the river. Had great difficulty with WiFi in room but staff got me logged on. Lighting in room was dim which meant I was unable to read when it got dark. Need to have one brighter light. Food in the evening was super. Breakfast was mixed.... More

Thank you for your feedback following your recent stay with us and I'm pleased that you enjoyed your visit. We do use small glass bottles for milk at breakfast time, (we think it's a homely touch!) and whilist I appreciate your concern these are kept refrigerated until needed then placed on the tables. All of our breakfast buffet items are... More

We stayed two nights at the end of May as we were going to a garden party at Buckingham Palace and wanted to stay outside of central London. After much searching and taking note of other hotel reviews we opted for Alexander Pope. What a great find, excellent location and 5 minutes walk to the train station. We had a... More

we stayed here for one night with friends when attending a concert at Hampton Court Palace. The rooms have recently been refurnished and were modern and comfortable. We stayed in room 27 on the 2nd floor at the back of the hotel, this was a very large room with a super kingsize bed, sofa and a small seating area. The... More

I stayed for a total of 7 nights at The Alexander Pope. It's a cute little hotel with modern rooms, great sized bathrooms and friendly staff. It was very comfortable, and the included breakfast was good. Our room was on the third floor and had a very nice view of the adjacent park and River Thames. Complimentary wifi was fast... More

Thank for your comments following your stay. Whereas I'm delighted that overall you enjoyed your stay I was disppointed to learn of the slow service in the bar. I am going to look at the cause so that we can improve this aspect of our service. I have also noted the lighting concerns that you raised. The rooms here have... More

The Alexander Pope is a pub with rooms..... hang on, let me re-phrase that. The Alexander Pope is a great pub with fantastic rooms. The last time I was in Twickenham this used to be a pub called the Pope's Grotto. I was stunned to see what they've done to the place. Brilliant, spacious, very well-equipped rooms (I was in room 4) a great bar and restaurant attached and easy access to the River and some of the best walking around. A 5 star... More
