I wasn't expecting much for an airport hotel but they really designed a winner here. Very attractive, modern, comfortable throughout. Tremendous service. Ultra fast reception. Very strange layout to this hotel ... huge underground car park but direct access to Terminal 5. Rooms are very "standard" for Sofitels ... not huge but adequate ... well furnished ... If you can afford it, this is an excellent hotel for an overnight before an early flight. We had booked discounted short term parking via BAA and it was a 5 minute covered walk to reception. The Sofit Hotel at London Heathrow terminal 5 can not be beat for location. Even though it is right at the airport you never hear any airplane noises.
