Having stayed here since August I must write to say how impressed i am with the hotel. The staff at reception are they biggest assett - they helped me enormously - treat them with respect and they'll be amongst the most professional staff I have met. The restaurant is lovely, especially the daily home-made soup, and they have recently re-vamped... more

The Continental is a bland, unremarkable hotel. It does what it says on the tin. Rooms were perfectly acceptable and breakfast was very good. Staff were polite and helpful especially the girls working in the breakfast room. Plenty of convenience stores and food outlets nearby. A big plus is the free access to pool/gym facilities downstairs which are modern and... more

The check in service was polite but the food and room let the hotel down. The room was an OK size but the fixtures and fittings were flimsy and not up to standard; the sink did not drain properly and the tap pulled away from the wall. The shower was very good but the room generally needed more attention to... more

We chose this hotel for a one night stopover in London after an extensive Internet search. The reasons we selected the hotel were a) its proximity to the airport; b) ease of access to the Underground; c) the reasonable price; and d) the fitness centre and pool facilities. All these proved true. In addition, staff were very helpful and freindly;... more

First impressions very poor - impersonal reception area, receptionist not at all welcoming, (extra £15 to park the car (what?) . Even she seemed embarrasssed. Corridors and stairs untidy and down-at-heel. The room confirmed all my suspicions - very small , bed took up most of the room, grubby decoration and a filthy carpet. No easy chair for relaxing. Tile... more

My fiance and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in July 2009. The overall accomodation was clean and modern however the room was tiny. Very little room to move, made you feel like you were in a cupboard and the view was terrible. Our room looked directly at an office building, people in the office could very easily... more

Basic rooms with laminate flooring, small bathrooms with shower only, you can hear the folk next room having a pee. Staff were very lovely and kind but mostly from overseas and probably paid minimum wage - very submissive. The restaurant lacked choice and I felt I was in a third world country - the soup came without bread!! The breakfast... more

We stayed at 04 June until 07 June 2009.Our first impression was really good.Only 30 min from London victoria just changing one line. Near the tube station(appr. 5min) and the town center ,which has many shops. The room was modern design and the bed soft and clean. I enjoy the bathroom a lot and all the towels were soft and... more

My husband and i stayed at the hotel for 1 night as we were going to twickenham to watch rugby. The hotel room was very small but was clean. The biggest problem was the breakfast and restaurant. The continental breakfast was either bran flakes or cornflakes, toast ,and tinned peaches, there was a small plate of salami and sliced cheese... more
