My boss booked this hostel for myself and 3 colleagues for the the night whist working late nearby, we were horrified when we arrived, the staff demanded payment for the room like it was an entry fee, as we were escorted upstairs we then discovered we didn't have a room to ourselves which was promised when we booked. As the... More

The Heathrow hostel is a very dingy and extremely ill kept sort of dorm. The only thing that speaks in favour of this hostel is its closeness to Heathrow airport. Cockroaches galore, one functional toilet/bathroom for up to 26 guests/residents, no reception, no lounge, plenty of possible verbal abuse from the arrogant manager and lots of noisy music coming from... I wanted to give this place a chance-the staff was all nice enough and the location to heathrow is great. However, within an hour of being in the room I had a cockroach crawl right over me. Then, not 20 minutes later, the boy in the bunk next to me screamed and I saw another huge bug crawling over him... More

Terribly maintained dingy hostel, smells awful. No staff around, came in late and needed sleep before an early flight and someone was already asleep in the bed that I had paid for. Being a young female I was not going to confront the middle aged and almost naked man in my bed. No one around to speak to at this... More

As all the reviews say, you get what you pay for. I spent a night here on my first night in the UK as I arrived at Heathrow quite late and didn't want to have to get into London itself. It is above a pub so it is noisy and the beds squeak a lot. the staff didn't seem too... More

This hostel was originally hard to find. It doesn't not have any signs above it or around it stating that is is the Heathrow Hostel, rather, it is the White Bear inn (or something similar). Rooms are ok, however beds are extremely squeaky with any movement. Bathrooms - terrible. The pub food downstairs was good and cheap beers. However, if... More

To 41Marshall14, first advice when travelling to a place is to be aware of opening hours. The hostel you mention in your report is located above a pub and if you know about pubs in uk they have openeing hours. you should have checked that first. I like yourself, was not expecting it to be a room full with bunkbeds... More

My stay at Heathrow Hostel has been my worst experience at a hostel, by quite some distance. I cannot even begin to express my dissatisfaction. But firstly, the place hardly deserves to be called a hostel at all, rather it is a bar with a few spare rooms on the second floor. It consists of a few decrepit rooms with... More
