For the third year running we traveled to Twickenham to the rugby sevens. Once again staying at the Civic Guest House Hounslow. The Civic does get some unfair reviews. It is not a bad place its not flash and the price represents this. The guys that run it are OK. We have had no hassle at all. We booked our... More

With most hotels fully booked due the A&N match at Twickenham, I came across the Civic on line. A single room was booked for two nights. On arrive it looked not too bad from the outside with a good car park area. The reception and dining room looked quite presentable, though the actual reception area was quite small. I was... More

After booking 3 rooms under one booking ref, I tried to cancel 1 room, after calls to the on-line booking agent and 4 calls to hotel, no-one could help and very unwilling, not impressed. I was hoping this hotel would be of some help but NO joy so went elsewhere and obtained a better (4*) hotel and CHEAPER, so shop... More

We liked the cosy room and private bath and the quietness of the night we stayed. However, the hot water was very unstable and flow of water irregular. I decided not to shower. Breakfast on a Saturday starts only at 8 a.m. and there were no signs of preparations at 7:55 when we left.

Room was very dirty, most things didn't work, very noisy (on Heathrow flightpath and no sound insulation), door lock extremely insecure, food dreadful, staff surly. You can do a lot better than this place locally.

What can I say about this b&b. Not a lot that's good I'm afraid. Started with an argument with the guy in reception. We booked on line at a certain rate and when we checked in, that rate supposedly wasn't available. Staff very unfriendly, rooms are a disgrace. Stains up my wall - hate to think what what was and... Guest house was exactly as expected & required. Budget priced but clean with easy access for Heathrow airport. Staff was helpful & pleasant. Cooked breakfast included in price was a welcome bonus. Parking was a problem due to contractors vehicles (contractors were guests) but with staff help we managed to get parked.

Arrived Sat 25th Oct for a 1 night stay, we were off into central London for a bit of sightseeing and to visit the Poppies at the Tower, just as well we had loads to see and do as you wouldn't want to spend too much time in this place. Dark and dingy with a musty smell throughout, never again.... More

Very misleading, make sure you get what they promised!!!, not genuine, crafty and cheap two individuals, standards are appalling in customer facing...!!! Well I had a proper look before booking a family room for a week, and we were shown a fairly good condition room. it was satisfactory and requested to reserve the particular room and made a deposit.
